July 3, 201610 yr Well, at least Iceland can say they have won the second half. It's hardly surprising to see France concede again with Mangala playing though.
July 3, 201610 yr France Germany is tough to call. Germany have been underwhelming. France have looked really good at times, but they've had periods when they've totally lost focus.
July 3, 201610 yr Iceland have been fantastic. 88th minute their centre half gets above his marker at a corner and his header goes inches wide. The guy is slapping the ground in frustration! They are 5-2 down with nothing but professional and national pride to play for - fantastic attitude
July 3, 201610 yr Are there drums or a conductor leading the Iceland clapping thing? It's incredibly difficult to sync slow beats across an entire stadium without an external cue.
July 3, 201610 yr What a performance from Iceland! No disappointment here. Inspirational stuff. God I can't stand Olivier Giroud. I feel annoyed just looking at his beady eyes and pretentious strut. Mario Götze also annoys me to no end just looking at him.
July 4, 201610 yr wonder what would have happened if france had italy's run in during the competition. those draws seemed fixed tbh.
July 4, 201610 yr Well done Iceland! They should be proud of themselves for their achievements at Euro 2016. Inspirational to say the least.
July 4, 201610 yr Good to see my home town of Motherwell get mentioned last night (origins of the Iceland 'clap'). Have a feeling Portugal France final with France doing a Portugal 2004 and allowing the underdogs a victory.
July 4, 201610 yr Good luck KRC, wherever you may be. Hope KDB does you proud. Thank you, Droogba! No! He didn't! Unregonizable for himself and me. Belgium are a much better side with the ball than they are without. Give this same set of players to a coach like Conte, Mourinho, Simeone, Pep and they'd be lethal.Wilmots lets too many of his side to be lazy defensively... They give cheap chances to the opposition so often you'd always fancy the opposition to score against them. Yep. Ok, but the 2 that used to play for us no longer do because they didn't want to stay and fight for their place, and the 2 that are still here didn't exactly set the world alight last season did they ? No. (See other topics.) Scott, all of Europe hates England, with some justification. Get over it. No, Just! I don't.Why should I hate England? How much of the Belgian back line implosion is due to not having Vertonghen? Vertonghen, Kompany, Vermaelen, Lombaerts, Bjorn Engels, ... But that's no excuse on an Euro. Out is out. this has been one of the best games of the tournament - really enjoying it I didn't. Auf weidersen Belgium. Willmots might bring Hazard on now. Auf Wiedersehen, Belgien. Why are you attempting German :-) ? A kind of. Wow!!! Bloody well done Wales! Indeed! Well done!Well-deserved! It's this a bigger upset than England Iceland? Wales considered a better team than Iceland, but Belgium considered a better team than England. Also higher goal margin by Wales. No. Iceland has 152 football players, Offside.Losing against Iceland is something like making history. I'm telling you Hazard won't get over this for months. Conte will have to give him a serious kick up the ar*e Hope so! Or I will do it! We beat them Yes! You did! Nice work, Andy! Outstanding from Wales. A lesson in what hard work and passion can achieve. You speak my language, mate! Edited July 4, 201610 yr by coco
July 4, 201610 yr The more I think of it the more Klinsmann as England manager makes sense, Experienced international manager and has his teams playing good football, certainly not a yes man.
July 4, 201610 yr I never understand why coaches from different nationalities manage other national teams. I would much prefer an english coach to coach england. how can a foreign coach show the same passion for a totally different national side?
July 5, 201610 yr Found this while surfing the net. "Germany has won 6/7 semifinals against host nations. If they win against France on Thursday their win ratio will be 7:1." FYI. http://www.dfb.de/news/detail/61-fuer-deutschland-starke-halbfinalbilanz-gegen-gastgeber-149441/
July 5, 201610 yr All the very best to Wales tomorrow night v Portugal. Yes good luck Wales........the game is tonight though Ersk, wouldn't want you to miss it ! Edit: Senior moment here, as you were. Edited July 5, 201610 yr by WeatherMan
July 5, 201610 yr I know people are widely saying that England is an ideologically torn nation now, but imagine how bad it will be if there is a France vs Wales final!

July 5, 201610 yr It's tomorrow night Doh, I've spent the whole morning thinking today is Wednesday, my apologies.

July 5, 201610 yr France v Germany Those of us of a. 'certain vintage ' will remember the. World Cup Semi Finals of 1982 and 1986.
July 6, 201610 yr http://www.skysports.com/football/news/12016/10430421/sir-alex-ferguson-sam-allardyce-should-be-next-england-manager Alex Ferguson reckons Fat Sam should be the next England boss. I would love to see this, if only for the pure hilarity. I also imagine that if this does happen, Adam Lallana can probably kiss his England career goodbye.
July 6, 201610 yr a lot of hype about wales considering they've hardly beat anyone apart from belgium. they lost to a sh*t england in the groups too. considering france and wales have beat nobody, they both got fortunate to be where they are in this tournament.
