I'm usually reluctant to brand players as the best ever, but he's honestly right up there. It's difficult to compare across eras when looking at guys like Banks, Schmeichel, Yashin, but in terms of consistency Buffon has to be the best.

I think yellow cards picked up in the group stage should be expunged sfter the round of 16 games.
