Jose Mourinho thread

Featured Replies

I wondered if he would regain his mojo and bounce back at another club, to be fair he had some moments yet no consistency and the quality of football has seriously annoyed a lot of fans.

Recently by dropping Pogba he is trying different things though looking like another season with little reward.

This could be his last big appointment.

I'm rooting Jose for this weekend, reckon United will get a point at Anfield, if not all 3. The way both teams play, Jose's team definitely has a chance, with a bit of luck or De Gea has one of those 9/10 game.

mourinho and united are due up a big win and hopefully this will be it, sooner the scouse are off top spot the better

I never get the "they are due..." argument. Is someone in charge of football results keeping a spreadsheet?

Interesting strategy not to play arguably your best three players in a big game today ... Pogba, Mata and Martial all on the bench. Some would say that Bailly is their best defender, so then it's actually four ...

Bailly played vs the dirty red scousers. I guess he did OK, but we all knew manure would lose this match. Did us a bit of good. The gap between us is now 11 points.

Will always make me laugh how Utd fans thought they had got one over us getting Mourinho after we sacked him.

And Matic

And Lukaku, they genuinely thought we were playing the signings down out of jealously like they signed prime Jose, Kante and Hazard:laugh2:

And alas everything we warned them about with all 3 is what they are moaning about.

He gives all his previous teams credit but totally forgets Chelsea. How sad our relationship has become.

I think Inter will always be his favourite. Can’t blame him. He won the treble with them while he still loved and enjoyed his job. Probably the last place where he was truly happy.

He was easily just as happy with us the first time around. But still e neglected mentioning us.......a bridge too far for him it seems. His first team here were far stronger overall than any of his teams. We could game anyone from any era.

Yes - BBC reported he was on the bench to start with ... serves me right for using them for my source data I suppose !

Bailly was on the bench but Smalling injured his foot in the warm up.

good question by Richard Keys here

Hmm... pretty tenuous; we played Liverpool on Hallowe'en and Mourinho was sacked eight games and two months later.

It would be more applicable if José gets sacked after playing at the King Power in February.

Just an observation.....and plenty care. We had it good but since he took over utd he has been a lousy enemy. His 2004-2007 team was the best he ever had.

There is nothing to suggest he will be shown the door any time soon. United have 3 very winnable fixtures coming up, and they will probably pick up 9 points over the festive period. Unlike his second stint here where we were struggling to win even against the bottom teams at the end, they have been doing enough to win against the lower teams this season which is why Jose is still in the job. Unless they start losing some of these matches, I can see him lasting until at least they are knocked out of the Champs League. He may even get until the end of the season.
