For what it's worth, I think the article is a lot of nothing. He told these people that there are ways to get around the third party rule (true) without actually offering to do that for them. He also made criticisms about the England team and the FA that many people have made.

Don't get me wrong, he's a corrupt guy, but this article is a bunch of nothing.

I wonder who else will be exposed. They said they would expose a manager who knew of players betting on games without reporting it to the FA. That sounds exactly like Conte in Italy but it's not Conte because they specifically said the FA.

There are a lot of dodgy people in football including English football. If they don't have dirt on others, it's because they didn't seek it out, not because those people are clean.

Tony Pulis is known for taking bungs as well. Ferguson too but he was smarter about it by going through his son.

The third party ownership practices, from what I've heard, are pretty common, and the football oversight bodies turn a blind eye to it.

This sport is corrupt at every level everywhere in the world.

Agents are shady as hell yet several top level managers have family members who are agents. That should tell you something.

We (Chelsea) have a relationship with certain agents that reeks to the high heavens. And you just know Roman Abramovich has don't plenty of corrupt things. You done become a Russian billionaire with ties to Putin unless you're corrupt.

....he's not known as Sam Ave a slice for nothing.

All that time he was waiting to get the top job and now he may have blown it because of pure greed.

For some reason the forum won't permit my comment at the end to move out of the quote field.

I wonder if this is related to him being so committed to the status quo in his team selection for the Slovakia game and his fawning over Wayne Rooney. He was acting like an FA yes man to an almost caricatured degree.

Having said that, If Allardyce is sacked, The following appointment is completely irrelevant as our media would undermine the new man regardless. You could appoint Pep with Simeone and Ancelotti as his assistants and the media would find a way to make fun of Pep for being bald and Ancelotti for mimicking the Rock, Plus they'd accuse Simeone of being a wheeler n dealer and having ties to the mafia. Just give it to Boris Johnson or the Chuckle brothers, It's getting to the point where you've been let down so much, Why expect anything other than failure?

Di Matteo is in trouble at Villa. Looks like it's going to be 1 win in 10 and yet again tonight they've conceded a late goal and dropped points from a winning position. I'd read rumours earlier he had 2 games to save his job.

Well that's Big Sam's next job sorted then.

Di Matteo can't seem to catch a break at the moment.  He really need's to find a job that last's more than a few months or he is going to find it hard to get many more jobs.

Oh well, if it doesn't work out, at least he will always be a Champions League winner.
