I actually want Arsenal to get top 4. Could mean more chance of Wenger staying and they continue to go round in their mediocre circle.

whilst if United miss out on top 4 and fail in the EL, Zlatan could be off - which would delight me.

Arsenal are a rabble! A shadow of what they used to be.

"You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain" - Never has a quote been so true when describing Arsene Wenger.

Has Wenger had his interview yet? Can't wait to hear his excuses

Yeah, he said that he's made a decision about his future and it will be announced 'soon'.

He's done.

He'll see out the season and Arsenal will try to send him out on a high by winning the FA Cup, but he's finished now. The press conference was very telling.

I think if he'd decided to stay, he would just say it, by saying he'll announce it soon, makes me think he's going. Which is a shame, as they might become reasonably good again, although doubtful with the owners they have who don't care either way.

I'm not so sure that signing Kompany would be a good thing. If this was three to four years ago I would agree with you but I do sense that he is on the decline and his injury record doesn't help him. I can't remember the last time that Kompany had a good game, maybe @Kinkladze1871 could give us a better idea.

Add in too that we've got Zouma and Ake coming through, plus with Christensen due to come back from loan next year, I've got high hopes that we're set for first-team centre backs for the next ten years.

He has performed well whenever he has played for us this year however he cannot get a consistent run in the side due to the injury affecting him mentally. I think Pep will move him out due to his stature at the club being so large that it can become a hindrance at time, Now if he was to retire straight away and stay at the club as a defensive coach that would be brilliant. For Chelsea, It wouldn't be a bad signing assuming you got a Rudiger/Bonucci type of CB in also, He'll cost peanuts, Be a great back up squad player and under a more defensive coach will thrive even more.

I don't watch the fan tv stuff but that thumbnail of that claude fella is real depressing looking :|

Things you're guaranteed to hear at the beginning of an AFTV video-

"We love you, Arsenal! We do! Ohhh Arsenal we love you! ... (Robbie) ArsenalFanTV. What can I say? Another disappointing result..."

Thanks for that, really interesting!

the race for fourth poses a lot of dilemmas for me. as much as it's fun to see how Arsenal can blow their season in a couple of weeks and how United can go months unbeaten and end up in 7th place, I think that either of them finishing 4th would be preferable to Liverpool finishing 4th

why?

well Arsenal are perennial bottlers and so if they finish 4th it really means nothing at all

United tend to recruit whoever they want whether they are in the CL or not, so 4th or not makes little difference to them

but finishing 4th and getting back into the CL would make a difference for Liverpool in terms of the players they might attract; really don't want those barstewards to get any encouragement

Meh they didn't really attract anyone after they finished second did they?  In fact Suarez decided to leave.

well he had bitten people at the world cup and was offered the chance to go to Barcelona

I'd prefer Everton myself. But if push came to shove Arsenal would be choice.

But even after finishing second, no-one seemed to want to go there really/
