February 1, 20197 yr We don't have a scoring striker, yet we are so happy to send all those waiting in line on loan. I don't f* understand it, 100M worth of strikers on loan, and this guy didn't even get a kick with the Sarri ball.

February 1, 20197 yr He could do some damage to Arsenal & Man Utd when he plays agasint them. Fingers crossed!
February 2, 20197 yr Looks like he is playing today as Zaha is injured, as Palace seem to play a front two he might actually play well off Townsend.

March 16, 20197 yr Batshuayi just scored and almost set up a second within five minutes through high pressing #sarriball Edited March 16, 20197 yr by PloKoon13

March 24, 20197 yr Bats scored for Belgium - excellent dribble around the GK for the goal btw that was Thorgan Hazard with the assist Edited March 24, 20197 yr by robdog
March 25, 20197 yr Very real prospect of him being back at Chelsea next season, possibly even as first choice. Giroud has been making a lot of noises about leaving in search of regular minutes and the club are apparently not keen on retaining Higuain. If the transfer ban is upheld in the summer we could be going into the new season with Michy B and Tammy Abraham as our strikers...
March 25, 20197 yr The weird thing is Bats and Tammy would arguably look better than Higuain and Giroud imo.

I'm not necessarily opposed to the idea if we do have the transfer ban upheld... I don't think Higuain or Giroud offer enough pace and mobility and a younger strike force of Michy and Tammy would be an improvement in that respect, though I don't think either is good enough to lead the line for us week in week out. There's an irony to turning to the loan army to bail us out of the transfer ban.

Tammy is a Chelsea lad so will want to give his all and with Bats being shifted out every season surely he's got a point to prove. I wish we could swap our current options for the pair now tbh.
March 25, 20197 yr There's an old American football quote that got turned into a punchline. At the time a coach named Buddy Ryan was deriding Cris Carter's overall game as a wide receiver, and he said "All he does is catch Touchdown Passes" I think of that when I watch Michy. "All he does is score goals" I played with a guy like that. I had no trouble facing him in training. He wasn't all that fast, not very big, Didn't possess a hatful of tricks, but by God didn't he score a goal about every single game. My teammate described him as a "Very gifted Cherry Picker"... the positive term for that is "Poacher" Michy is a terrific finisher. He knows how to make him self available with good movement. I haven't been able to watch Tammy as much this year, but his goal record is awfully impressive. ironically, I would be much more excited to watch a team of the young players than the old guys we're throwing out there right now. Kepa Dave, Rudiger, Christensen, Emerson Kante, Jorginho, RLC Pulisic, Bats, CHO Subs - Tammy, Zouma, Barkley, Mount, James, Willian, Willy

April 4, 20197 yr Feel like Bats could have a field day with the balls that CHO manages to drill into the box.

His hold up play needs a lot of work along with his control but his finishing is up there, and he gets into the right places in the box... no doubt half his goals would be bouncing off his arse as he looked the other way but a goal is a goal
July 18, 20197 yr https://theprideoflondon.com/2019/07/17/chelsea-michy-batshuayi-starting-striker-preseason/ Good read, can see Bats being out number 1 striker next season from what he's showing in pre season.
August 19, 20196 yr Bats just scored after a long ball from Rudiger... keeper came out and clattered him outside the box... Bats got up and chipped him...
