The loan was brainless to be honest and not well thought, in fact in general our entire loan policy makes no sense. He had a very successful loan at Dortmund where he the main forward, we now demanded a ridiculous fee for him which Dortmund and any other team declined to pay (think it was £50m). When no team offered that ridiculous transfer fee; we have now demanded a ridiculous loan fee which no team would pay, with the window about to shut we loaned him to Valencia with 2 forwards already on their books. He is effectively a 3rd choice forward behind Gameiro and Moreno, dependent on Cheryshev & Guedes to supply them. Fun fact is none of them have managed more than one league goal. 

Personally wouldn’t fault him for not scoring regularly, Valencia spent £36m on Guedes who has failed to match his output from last season. They are also more inclined to play Gameiro more as he is a new signing.

straight poacher goals, but the man knows how to get himself in position to score, and he's a really good finisher.

I'd have him back in the next transfer window, can't last the whole season with 2 strikers. With 65-70% possession every game, he just needs to do what knows best, stay in the final third and wait for that final pass

Chances are with him the team we won't get that high a number possession.

Its distinctly average  when compared to the team of a primetime Cech, A Cole, Terry. Lamps. Essien and Drogba. Players who'd make up half a combined Premier League team. We only have Hazard who get in to one now. 

Bringing back Bats would be a huge step backwards!  With the way the team is looking to progress we need players with high technical ability, not ones who can't trap a medicine ball and totally useless outside the 6 yard box. Our rivals wouldn't dream of signing donkeys like him and I cringe watching the likes of him and Bakayoko in a Chelsea shirt.  A massive no to him ever playing for us again. Sell at a knockdown price if need be and learn a lesson to never buy such players again!

Think youre overreacting. Hes never had a run of games at Chelsea, and just before we offloaded him to Dortmund, he was start to score in every game.

If you want us to be against Europa League level team? then fine, bring him back! If you want us to progress and start really challenging City and the very best in Europe again, it will not happen with a player like him up front anymore than it will with Lukaku up front for UTD. We need to significantly improve in certain areas and i cannot believe anyone can think he'd bring significant improvemnt to our team. He's a rubbish allround footballer who scores scrappy goals from 5 yards. No top team in Europe plays with great lumps up front who have such an awful first touch.

I noted when I shared the Christian Pusilic highlights he set up three assists for Bats that made me reconsider whether we were giving him the right service at SB.

He seemed to work with 1-2's on the edge of the box. 

With a team with better possession in the opponents half I wondered if he might do better now with us.

30 scrappy 5 yard goals a season would be good enough for us though, wouldn't it ? :-)

Furthermore this notion goals win games is technically true but too easy a cop out when defending rubbish footballers with decent goal records, yes Bats may have tucked away Girouds chance against Arsenal with a shot from that angle, but would he have opened up space with a feignt the same way Olivier did? How many goals have we scored due to neat play by Giroud in the build up that would never have happened with Bats on in his place?

I personally wouldn't want Bats back at the expense of our current two strikers let alone any potential new signing.

Just because Bats and Giroud play the striker position does not mean that they are the same mold. Giroud is a hold up player who brings the others into play. Batshuayi is more Michael Oweny or Javier Hernandezy in that they cant do the physical duties like Giroud but they are more likely to be present in the right place at the right time and also score. Also, he has experience in a front 3 as a central striker and has also played with Hazard. If we are planning to play a quick pass game then his lack of physicality should not be a problem but if we persist with the need for having a hold up striker then he is a bad idea.

I'm not sure why we hang on to players instead of selling them. 

Zouma, Bakayoko and Michy should all be off the books already but instead they're just farmed out on loans.
