Did read that he was player of the year, Though without watching them, hard to know how much that means. 

According to Bild a £20million deal is close to happening with Gladbach.

 

This will end up worse than letting De Bruyne go.

I'm okay with it as long as there is a buy back clause inserted into the deal. 

 

But we haven't got a history of including buy backs (for whatever reason) so I won't hold my breath.

The press report from Germany says we are insisting on a buy back clause. They want to limit it to 2 years but we want a longer one. They also haven't met our valuation. The reporter seems to think that Conte's pursuit of a new CB is proof we are willing to sell which ignores the fact that we need a new CB for this season, and Christensen is not part of our squad for this year anyway.

He's just as good as stones and he's going for £50m, selling him at all is idiotic but to sell him for £20m is just f**king stupid

No excuse to be selling him whilst we have other assets sitting around that we don't intend to use. Players such as Cuadrado who clearly have no future here should be cut long before promising youth players, especially one in a position we are sorely lacking in. Going into the season after the one coming with Zouma/Christensen/Kouillabily/Cahill would be a very promising batch of CB's, if a little lacking in experience. 

Tbh its getting to the point where i wish we would just recall christiansen and pay whatever compensation is due.

We need a ball playing centre back, he has already proven good enough to play at international and chamlions league level. We are being rinsed for centre backs that had similar if not worse seasons than christiansen has just had.

All the while monchungladbach are in his ear, possibly unsettling him, and trying to make the deal permanent.

IF hes sold, there WILL be a buyback clause no doubt. I wouldn't be surprised to see us sell him and buy him back next summer if things continue to go well for him there next season

I think the difference would be all 3 parties would be agreeing to scrap the loan arrangement should we want to sell, but all 3 parties wouldnt agree to us recalling him early, and we would have to pay compensation.

I doubt the club would be stupid enough to ditch him, then again going by the last year and a bit I guess it would be par for the course. Zero point in selling him just to buy him back a year down the line, they should be told to wait until the end of the loan if they want to make a move for him.

nonsense. if the shoe was on the other foot they would be demanding over £40 million for him. got potential to be one of the best centre backs in europe and we're just gonna have our pants pulled down and do nothing about it.

Hopefully GC. I would keep JT around one more year to actually groom Andreas and due to extreme shortage of leadership in the team. (I am also guessing that this will be Iva's last season).

In that case, I wont be surprised if the board decides to sell him. Wont put that past our board.

We've had this kind of situation before (Courtois and Atletico)

Christensen is definitely Conte's CB type. I just hope Conte keeps up with Christensen's progressive
