Posted August 22, 20168 yr The German Messi has been transferred off to Olympiakos on a permanent deal for a sum of £3m! We may have not bought in as many players as we do in some windows, but we surely are doing a great job FINALLY getting rid of a lot of the no hopers we had in our team instead of loaning them out again and again. First Papy and now Marin also have gone. This window has been a great success in my book simply for getting rid of a lot of these players on a permanent basis/ Im not sure if this is down to Conte but we've definitely improved in this department since he arrived, i wonder whose next to go? August 23, 20168 yr atsu looking likely to leave, mvg and piazon maybe? let's just hope they don't turn out to be another kdb lukaku
August 23, 20168 yr If Marin leaving is confirmed, then we have the following players from the loan army who have yet to have their 2016/17 role clarified : Atsu, Van Ginkel, Bamford, Kane, Omeruo, Piazon, Pasalic, Cuevas, Solanke These are mostly the older or more experienced loan players ... Could be that we are delaying sorting out loan moves to allow us to have additional first team squad options if our transfer targets don't materialise ? e.g. Omeruo as a centreback option if moves for Koulibaly et al don't work out ? Bamford, Piazon or Solanke as a 4th choice striker ? Van Ginkel as another midfield option ?

August 23, 20168 yr Van Ginkel will probably stay until at least the January window, as he's injured again. Oh glory ... hadn't seen that ... poor lad must be gutted ... he has a worse injury record than Daren Anderton ... !!!
August 23, 20168 yr it's good that we offload him although we made a loss, bought for 8 mil sold for 3 ( unless we got some money from his loans ). I hope we will continue to offload the players that have no chance to play for chelsea, it's a good start with Papy and Marin

Hopefully we can offload a few more before the window shuts

August 24, 20168 yr Are we retiring his squad number? His statue next to Osgood's is set to be revealed before the Burnley game.
