April 19, 20188 yr Best left wing back in the league, as much as he's underappreciated. Deserves to be in the team of the year.
April 19, 20188 yr Ben Davies and Fabian Delph both been better than him this season. Shown up for a couple of months and his goals are the reason he's made team of the year.

Sky and MOTD are particularly guilty of missing out certain incidents. We could do with JT and a few other pro chelsea pundits pushing our case. Lampard has settled in well to his punditry job, very likeable, but he needs to start sticking up for us a bit and highlighting inconsistencies against us a little more. :) Tell that to some of our more negative "fans". Going by some of the comments about this, it's clear a lot of people have never actually played football.
April 19, 20188 yr i think robertson has been fantastic for liverpool. i suppose you could put bertrand in there too. i suppose alonso is the best of a mediocre bunch.

His free kicks are the stuff of legend.
April 19, 20188 yr Didn't think the challenge was that bad personally. I don't think there was any malice in it, but I'm not surprised to see him get banned because it looks bad in slow motion, and we always seem to get punished by the media for things like this. Vertongens challenge in hazard was much much worse. Alonso has had a decent season, I think his goals have got him into team of the season though. Hopefully emerson can make his mark in the next 3 games. With moses and zappacosta underperforming, it would be a perfect opportunity to go to a back 4, but I'm not holding my breath!

For Alonso it is more about the goals than his overall performance, his defiantly not a natural wingback who can run at defenders etc.

To say it wasn't even a foul shows up any post you have made on this forum, I knew your posts was BS but that just confirmed it, biggest joke of a post on this forum.
April 19, 20188 yr Like I said, just being an argumentative prick. Just stop stalking me and put me on ignore, there's a good lad.
April 19, 20188 yr His goals and consistent (although not incredible) performances have got him there. Must have been close with Davies and Young but deserved. Pretty poor group of left backs in Prem atm. Robertson would have deserved it if he had started the league the same way hes finishing it.

April 19, 20188 yr Which bit of "put me on ignore" is confusing you. And which bit of me referring to posters in here makes you think of little Dennis? And how do you manage to conflate (look it up) the two in your small mind? Wise is one pundit who thought it was a red card. Other pundits at the time thought not. So, find the ignore button, click it against my name, and stop stalking me. You're getting creepy, and not in a good way. Oh,and try to find something, anything positive to say about the club, or the team, or the manager, or the board, or the beer at the Bridge, or something. Go on, I dare you, try to find a good thing to say about something related to Chelsea.

You replied to me and I can always respond. I could always believe that everything about Chelsea is absolutely perfect, the club, manager or players can do no wrong, if they get relegated on 0 points it's the refs fault. When it's Chelsea it's not a red card, when it's anyone else's it is, be one of those deluded fans. I haven't seen a pundit say it wasn't a red card, maybe that's because there all against Chelsea FC like some deluded fans think the whole world is against the club.

Pretty sure a defenders job is to defend. Milivojevic the highest scoring holding mid. Don't see him making it into team of the year on set piece goals alone. Alonso plays much higher than a traditional full back too so goals are more expected. Lets not act like he's not been disappointing since the turn of the year. 50 minutes ago, bluehaze said: Even if I believed that I could never praise another teams players while pissing on one of Chelsea's totally baffling. Hardly pissing on Alonso, just admitting he hasn't been that good this season. I also think Vertonghen shouldn't be in the team either. 49 minutes ago, Ernie_blue said: Tbh i don't think any LB has been outstanding, I would put Dave there just for his consistency. Goals have skewered peoples view. Obviously you can't say anything against a Chelsea player on this forum without being a proper fan though.

April 19, 20188 yr Ban was inevitable. My issue here is why the hell do other players like Vertonghen not get treated the same way, and how do refs who were staring at the incident from a few feet away claim they didn't see it, purely so our player can get a ban. And yet when Martin Atkinson took no action against Ashley Barnes for his leg-breaker on Matic, he later claims he DID see it. Whichever way you look at it (being unable to see fouls from a few feet away, seeing horrific challenges but taking no action), the refs are openly admitting their incompetence. And yet no action is taken against them. The whole thing stinks.

Don't forget Clattenburg has already admitted that he doesn't play by the FA rule book, and favours of his own interpretation of the rule book. So Ernie_Blue (or should that be Ernie_white ??) the conspiracy theorists were right (to a degree) when they said the game is fixed, maybe not on an industrial scale like some say, but it's happening under your nose. If referees are missing bad tackles in game despite having no obvious reason, then surely they aren't up to the job ?

The ref says he didn't see the Alonso challenge, well if he didn't see that then he shouldn't be a referee, exactly what Wise said aswell.
