I think benching courtouis is only going to damage his confidence and I dont think that's good for a young keeper  

I have been dying to see a midfield trio of fab Kante and chalobah.

Moses has been good and deserves a start 

Michy has also impressed me and I think it's a perfect game to give our 33 million pound signing a fair run out

lose this and the club will defo go into a mini crisis mode (Leicester & Man U up next) , flames fanned by the media circus

Hull are an interesting conundrum,  start of season not enough senior players on the bench, Brucey walks out, but they've done well under the circumstances 

& will be very confident at home, Chelsea's confidence on the other hand has gone begging

can only hope JT's presence at the back will sort it out

 

 

 

 

 

I hope Terry is back in Central defense. Cahill plays better with him. I wouldn't trust Luiz as a CB because hes a liability. Poor positional sense and doesn't smell danger. Alonso should play and Dave as the other wing back. Matic needs to be ousted in favour of loftus cheek and Fabregas plus Kante. Ivanovic can take a breather on the bench. Conte should maybe play two upfront. He had an experienced back four with Italy and Bill Shankley famously said you need to build your team from the back. Once that's strong, concentrate on midfield and upfront. We are poor at the back and don't look stable. Conte must be pulling his hair out. We need all 3 points  but after our recent outings anything is possible.

Drastic changes need to be made, if that doesn't happen then it's last season all over again for us.

Ivanovic has to be dropped. For nearly 2 full years now he has been making the same mistakes game after game. He doesn't get tight to the wingers, he is constantly out of position, he let's wingers get crosses in, he plays blind passes into the middle of the field when he can't see a way out of defence. It's like playing with a man down or the opposition having an extra man.

Matic is another that needs to be dropped. A positive start to the season but it's quickly gone all to sh*t for him. He's not improved on last season and he still looks incredibly clumsy, he can't cope under pressure, he moves like a snail, he can't use his right foot, he can't pass well, he takes forever to make a pass. He also looks very unfocused on what he is doing at times, he doesn't seem aware of his surroundings. Because he has been so bad for so long, he has this habit of trying to play too safe. If there isn't much room to pass, he avoids making it. It's like he is so afraid of making a pass because he is afraid of making a mistake which then leads to more mistakes.

Cahill, far too many mistakes too often now. I don't think i have ever seen a player get caught out trying to pass back to the keeper 3 times in 4 games before. Ok, the Swansea one he was fouled, but he should learn from that. He clearly hasn't though and it's not good enough.

Willian. Not good enough for us. Won player of the season last season mainly because the rest of the squad couldn't be bothered to turn up last season. He's good at one thing, bringing the ball out of defence. When you need him to contribute to the attack, he offers nothing. He can't cross, he can't finish, his set pieces are up there with the worst i have ever seen, he can't play a through ball into the strikers. He's just not a very good attacking player.

I would like to see Courtois dropped too but with Begovic playing just as bad we have no choice but to keep him in the team.

Moses isn't perfect but i think he would offer more than Willian or Pedro right now.

 

I'm sorry for the long post and it being a bit of a rant but that game against Arsenal was just shambolic and i desperately don't want us to go through what we went through last season.

Although Conte would need to find a way for Fab to drop deep for the ball without being on the CB's toes...

Conte wants defenders to create from the back. Keeper passes to center back, center back passes to midfield and so on. Luiz can play that football but Cahill really can't. Teams have seen that and they pressure us deep. We lost to both Pool and Arsenal in consiquence of that. After going a goal down in both games we lost confidence and didn't play as planned. After half time Conte made changes and we got back in the game. 

I'd try 3 at back against Hull. Move the game to midfield.

Playing Courtois regularly hasn't improve him. Fabregas is always going to struggle when played behind the striker. And you really want to see Costa on the bench in this match?

You are spot on mate!  That's the a strong Line up and I would love to see this line up.  Maybe Ivanovic in place of Terry but the rest - i agree 100%

 

Conte's pre match presser is at 12:45 today. 

Not expecting him to give much away about possible team selection. 

Wouldn't be surprised if he asked about meeting with Roman this week too. 

Could be a bit of a boring one today because he's going to be giving out very PR friendly answers I reckon.

Thats why i would have Moses in the starting line up and dropping Willian, Against Leicester he hugged the right hand touchline all night. He was a good outlet.
