It was a below par performance. What amazes me is the amount of posts that are arguing between people brought on by hot headed comments. We got a draw they scored from a free kick, we didn't create anything second half. That means we can play poor and still draw. Bad day at the office, lets see what happens after the fa cup.

That was poor but the conditions were atrocious and the ref instead of carding the thugs decided talking to them would be the way to go.
Costa needs to get his head in the game.  He's been off and it's filtering down into the side.
I thought Hazard played pretty well. Nothing spectacular but not as bad as people on this forum are making his display out to be.
Matic was abysmal but the overrating of Fabregas on this forum is ridiculous.  Pretty sure we'd have been 3 down had we started with him.
A valuable point.  It could have been worse.  We March on.......

If Fabregas had started, yes, we will concede goals but CERTAINLY we will outscore them. And the team with the most goals win games.

Michael Owen, is that you?

I think it's definitely seen as one unbelievable result in Burnley as 606 has an endless stream of their fans calling in. It may even qualify as a bank holiday there in the future.

I hope this match will push Conte into starting Fabregas more against lower league oppositions. No need for Matic and Kante all the time.

Starting Matic make us predictable.

Bloody hell I don't know how Conte got this far without you.

i dont get why the stick . The lad has a point. There was absolutely no use for matic in this match. Even matic looked lost trying to figure out his job. He didnt have anyone to mark in midfield as burnley bypassed the midfield and just lumped it long. Fabregas shd have come on earlier at least hazard wouldnt have had to always come deep to get the ball. I am for Matic in the big games but against negative teams it has to be cesc all day long

Well, wait till next season and you will see us struggle with the Matic/Kante combo. We are getting away with it this season because we are on top of the table and most of the players are on top of there game to keep us on top. So just be patient, next season is just some months away.

No need to worry. We will get veratti or a better midfielder to complement kante. We have one in cesc but we all know how conte feels about him. Hopefully we switch to a 352 also. Imagine Kante with 2 attacking and creative players next to him

The matic hate is serious had Cesc started we would of lost because he cant jump to save his life the long balls Matic was helping Azpi and doubling up on that guy that tried to break his leg

We have to realise every team now we face will up their game its up to us to match it and we do in 99% of games this is the PL not Spain and Germany there is no easy games sooner people understand that the better

Am not sure Conte would like an upgrade on Matic. He already is a big fan of Matic.

and for very good reasons too, but I doubt it is a fan thing with him. More likely to be something to do with Conte's footballing knowledge and associated skills that place him as manager of one of the best teams in the world. Chelsea FC. KTBFFH

tough tough game in the end.

didn't think we looked comfortable with the 442 matching burnley up in 1v1s across the pitch.

they are a good side at home and in that weather and on that pitch I suppose a point isn't an awful result. feels a bit disappointing to get ahead and not win but once they equalised I'd say they were better and we never found any rhythm in our play.

we got a point at the third toughest place to go in the prem !! if we were going to drop points surely that is where it is going to happen? i think people are expecting a tad too much, chelsea are going to drop points between now and the finish whether they lift the title or not, there is a 10 point gap, just need to make sure they drop less or even the same amount as the chasing pack, there is breathing space.

We drew against Burnley 1-1 at SB when Jose was in charge. We also dropped points against Southampton on the way at home and drew to Arsenal.

Yet we still won the league at a canter with Fabregas smacking a ball into Brunt against WBA, because he could.

People overreact so much.

Crap performance but the other top teams will have crap performances as well.

Totally agree

After last season how can some people get so negative, just an off day

Believe in Conte's judgement  up the CHELS

Expectations of Chelsea fans are high, brought on by our amazing run of straight wins, by the current 10 point lead, by generally good performance of the team.  However, at the start of the season I was hoping we would finish in the top 4. Well, appetite grows with eating, and despite good reasons why we should be content with the draw today, it still feels like a disappointment. The win today would have put more pressure on the chasing pack, but we do not want to have a boring end to the season, do we? By the way, can we still win the PL with more points than in our previous wins?

We desperately need someone who can shoot from outside the box in games like this. Lampard spoiled us for years and Ballack could hit them as well, but no-one on our current team seems to. Whether that's Chalobah, RLC or even MVG remains to be seen, but I miss those low bottom corner drives.

No one is against any fan feeling disappointed if you didn't you are not a Chelsea fan what myself and a few others are saying today even Barcelona would not of won at Burnley today the combination of factors was not conducive for few flowing football. I said before this match that this would be tougher than Liverpool away and so it proved. Their small pitch combined with their work rate and strong tackling compact shape make it a very hard place to go.

Pretty mediocre performance. There was no fluency or cohesion in our game. But Turf Moor has become a very tough ground to win at and the conditions today made it even more challenging. 2 points dropped but a draw is just about ok IMO.

I think today's game should serve as a wake up call for some of our fans in terms of their expectations. We are not going to win every game from here, especially not away from home. We still have to play West Ham, Stoke, Bournemouth, United, Everton and West Brom away from home - every single one of those games has the potential to be very tough.

It's imperative that we take care of business in our home games, starting with Swansea in two weeks' time. All of our home games look quite winnable to me, including Man City who are poor defensively. So long as we keep winning at the Bridge we can afford a slip up or two away from home.

Like many teams in the league, we struggle against a well organised two banks of four. We score most of our goals on the break when those 8 players are out of their defensive shape. That's why Conte keeps Matic and Kante together in the middle, to hunt the ball down and catch them out of shape.

But today we had too much possession, sounds daft i know, but with 71% possession we were facing those two banks of four in their defensive shape and apart from the first ten minutes we struggled up front.

Finally home from the place that time forgot...fcuking cold...for 20 mins we looked deadly, then our passing went to sh*t and we were clearly rattled by Burnley's ugly football and tactics...still point each deserved result...only second time we have dropped points against team outside the top six this season so can't complain too much, especially as the conditions were horrific...of course a few players below par, but still in a great position even if citeh win Monday night
