city's make up match v United in a busy schedule

Swansea have been resurgent & frustrated for large periods despite Chelsea's possession.

But the team prevailed.  Fab fitted in seamlessly. Diego back on the score sheet and Pedro is fast becoming the revelation of the season isn't he?

Cesc wins you games but do not dream of a clean sheet

to be fair to Cesc he had nothing to do with the goal we conceded today, that looked down to Cahill and David Luiz switching off and apart from that incident Swansea never really looked like scoring

whether he needed time to settle or its down to conte who knows but he has barca written all over him this season

Reading this thread at 1-1, we seem to have a lot of French fans in here

Good result.

Sod the penalty shout - they should've had a goal disallowed after that disgusting foul at their place back in September that cost us 2 points.  Karma!

I think the system suits him pretty well.

Great result, not as easy game as some are saying. Pedro, Eden, Cesc and Kante were great. Costa was not playing well even he scored. I hope his game will be better now that he scored in the PL after a few games without a goal. We need the scoring Conte to win the title.

by my calculations, we are 22 points away from the Title - I heard Don Antonio say in his post match interview, that The Blues are 29 points away - 36 points available - let's see what the future hold for us

credit to Abramovich for inviting Frank back and giving him a chance to speak to the supporters. we get slagged off for the handling of the managerial ins and outs in recent years but there are times when the club acts with real class. Letting Cech go to Arsenal and respecting his family considerations was one and treating Frank properly in the end is another.   I would love to see Frank back at the club in the future, Drogba too and our owner seems to be the sort of guy who does place a value on service and loyalty so maybe that will be a possibility

Honestly you could make a good case for Kante being our player of the year. So influential in every game and he never takes a second off no matter what. Amazing player.

Said exactly the same to my sister today. He gets my vote

My first and probably only Chelsea game of this season, it was very hard to pick a stand out player, Fabregas was probably the most influential and Matic certainly looked good when he came on but for me the major factor in the result was the formation credit really had to go to Conte there is always a man free and we seem to always be in the right place to regain possesion when it comes back out.

Dominate despite not being fluid today.

Have to laugh at the reaction of opposition fans. Saying we only won today because the ref bottled the "handball". How convenient they forget the shocking decision for the Swansea free kick which led to their goal and that we overall battered them

Well rival fans go on about history, legacy, etc, we are at the point where guys like Drog and Frank are club legends who have a legacy, record holders, PL winners, CL winners,  and I like that they keep their attachment and us to them, as much as I don't like UTD you have to admire that thing they created in their club more so in Fergi's time,  with the feeling of it being a family and legends always coming back and keeping an interest, Liverpool havnt had legends for so long and they feel cult, Arsenal is a business and have never won in Europe, and city can't by love and haven't achieved enough, so I think we are one of the few clubs that will be able to create that atmosphere of former legends, European Trophy winning legends,  being in the mix and bringing that air to the club.

Watched the highlights. Great game by Fabregas, he was very motivated and there was a lot of praise going his way. He did enough to earn another start in our next game, didn't he?

But still, how was that not a 5-1?

Changed 7-1 to 5-1, let's not be too harsh with Swansea, haha
