Chelsea vs Spurs (FA CUP) - 22nd April 2017

Featured Replies

JT coming back to lead us to victory against Sp*rs would be a dream but I think it's fantasy - blue tinted specs stuff. Sp*rs are on fire at the moment and to bring back JT who will be rusty to say the least, could be a disaster. Don't forget how off the pace he looked against West Ham in the League Cup and he has played very little since. I would start Ake ahead of JT or Zouma to be honest as Zouma has looked equally rusty (which is understandable).

Would you go with the three of Hazard, William and Pedro or start Michy?

front 3 of Hazard, Pedro, Willian

or maybe a 3-5-2 with cesc adding more legs in the center (we will need them against eriksen, alli, wanyama and dembele).

With just matic and Kante in the mid, I feel we will have a lot of the same problems of being unable to transition the ball to the forwards. And playing Cesc in a mid 2 against spurs would be suicidal.

We went to the Green Man before - reasonably easy to find and big garden.  Or we could go away from Wembley if we want somewhere quieter?  My son recommended somewhere in West Hampstead.    I don't know any of the others so you choose.

And keep it visible on here in case I manage to wind up in the same place!

If zouma starts. we are doomed. his technical ability or lack there of will be exposed by tottenhams press. Will play Ake and Willian over zouma and pedro but we all know Conte doesnt have fAITH IN aKE.

Yes, tragic news. Like you, I hope our fans are totally respectful.

Really sorry to hear about ugo's passing. My condolences to his family. Really puts things in to perspective when things like this happen. The pressure of this game does not feel so important anymore.

I love a good underdog story and loved Sutton/Lincoln's Cup run especially Wayne Shaw and the pie fiasco but now that the business end starts i'm so glad there's two blockbusters to look forward to, I haven't been this excited about an FA Cup semi final weekend in a long time. The sub plot to the title race in the Spurs/Chelsea game, Guardiola back at Wembley, The Wenger in/out storyline, Should be a belter of a weekend although i guess a City/Arsenal fan can enjoy this much more as defeat only means defeat for us whereas for Spurs and Chelsea defeat could have an effect more than just on this game.

I don't buy that argument.

If Chelsea don't win the title it will have nothing to do with an FA cup semi-final defeat, and everything to do with losing at home to Palace.

Fair point but you can agree a win here for Chelsea of a big variety i.e 2-0/3-1, Could halt Spurs' momentum a bit and end up making that game away to Palace even more trickier? Which if Chelsea win against Southampton and Spurs lose could all but wrap things up.

Already I don't like the early comments from us surrounding the game. Quite often this season against the big guns we have shown too much respect as if we are inferior and every time I hear Conte speak he seems to lavish praise onto spurs. Surely this translates to the players. Even Luiz is at it.

I haven't heard a word from the Spurs camp praising or complimenting us and no doubt they will come out full of intensity and without fear. I can see us struggling to keep the ball and playing on the back foot and I think it'll partly stem from the build up.

if its dry and the sun is out then you cant beat the Green Man, nice big garden to sing in.

I'm going to start at the Globe just outside Baker Street tube, fantastic feeling as you climb the exit stairs and see and hear the Chelsea singing and distributing celery at any Spurs fans driving by lol.

Then jump the tube to Wembley for a couple more and a sing song  at the Green Man before heading to the stadium.

Be positive guys I think we are going to see something special from Eden tomorrow.

I'm not going tomorrow but if Spurs have been given the old tunnel end then West Hampstead will be full of Spurs as it's on the Jubilee line to Wembley Park.

Thanks - we'll avoid West Hampstead then - there's a problem with the overground anyway so that was making it less appealing anyway.  I think the Green Man will be the easiest.

Think they are mentally preparing us for a defeat? Conte has confirmed tibo back and Cahill out. Also confirmed jt will not slot in to the Cahill position. So Zouma it is.... Poor Kurt.....

although I'm as negative about this match as anyone I've read on here, I can see why we may well lose...if the team read any of our stuff they'll be as negative... Where's our faith gone... Spuds are having a laugh at us already.. They are very optimistic of their team doing ours and their fans doing a better job too... I don't see or hear anywhere spuds calling spuds BUFFOONS for any reason...Thats why we are mocked...you yoou yooouuu buffoons

@Barn what pub do you think? We might as well try to get to the same place as you I guess as we haven't got any other idea how to choose where to go!

Yes StuBrown got me a couple of tickets, top man!

We're meeting a few mates around Baker Street before heading to Wembley.  Not sure what pubs though yet. I'll pm you both my number.
