No it is not we just lost to Palace at home.

To be fair Palace played ok today - two nice finishes and some resolute defending.

Chelsea are manifestly a team a quantum leap better than Palace and despite the one-sided-ness of the game sometimes this sort of crap just happens.  Happens to other really good teams as well.

Some of the Palace 'injuries' were amusing to watch!!! 

The Ref' today was myopic - that should've been one penalty to us and a red card to them.  Would.ve been a very different result following that.

Still - 7 points is some advantage!

 You can't win them all. A lucky rebound for Crystal Palace for the second goal. It happens. We played with force and intensity, maybe a little overeager sometimes, but I can not complain. Spurs and Man City will drop points as well - no doubt.

Is there a more pointless footballer than Matic ? I hate watching him dither on the ball. CB, CM and RW are still weaknesses in this team. Need to replace Matic and replace Willian/Pedro with someone who has end product. 

Apart from Costa needing a swift kick up the arse I thought we were pretty good. We'll get lots of space vs Man City and they won't park the bus so it should be a game that suits us.

Our defence looked like junior players against Benteke/Zaha, easily outmuscled and lost the majority of the duels. That and none attacking countless good crosses inside their box was the reason we lost it today.

I agree. Never got control against them and thats what cost us the match ovbiously.

It's not hard to see why Conte are looking to bring Van Dijk in.

Conte is right, plenty left in this title race. If Diego does not step up we will drop a lot of points in our remaining games I fear. To lose at home to palace... Title winning sides do not lose at home to garbage like palace.

What upsetsme is 10 players not able to position themselves in game plan to finish a productive attack.

We have to write this of as one of those games, loads of chances, keeper made ridiculous saves, blatant penalty turned down etc. This has to be a used to focus the players minds.

a london derby (god how i hate them) 

only a few days to prep for the game

 

these might be excuses, but they're the ray of light from this game. 

 

Just one of those games today. We have been unstoppable against teams in mid table and below this season, we were bound to slip up at some point. 

Hopefully arsenal can at least prevent city from capitalizing. 

My main irk with today was with the crosses. So many poor balls into the box, and there was also times when we actually put a decent cross in, nobody was on the end of it. 

Frustrating afternoon all round. Big 3 weeks coming up where the title will either be sewn up, or blown wide open.

Hopefully we keep our nerve, which going by how we have played this season, I don't think we will let this get away.
