It was not easy to work this week because after international break, some players come back with some problems. We have to wait tomorrow to make the best decision. On who is ruled out for tomorrow: Conte says " I think that it is important to check the situations of these players (Hazard, Moses, JT). On if chelsea has received any bids for Hazard: Conte says " I repeat the same thing, its very important to be focused on the present because it is very dangerous. The only thing I can say is Eden is a chelsea player, we are happy with him and he is happy with us". On if it is an attempt to unsettle the player: Conte says " I think this is a part of the player, where clubs try to create a type of difficulty in the mind of the players, my players have this experience to overcome these difficulties". On if he would like to see the club offer him a new contract: Conte says " we all know we are in a great club with great ambition, there is great will to do great things in the future but I hope to do great things in the present. Don't forget there are 10 games to play, we want to finish the season with great success. The will of all is to build a great team". On how he assess the title race at the moment: Conte says " In my past i lived two different experience, one positive and one negative. We need 21 points to be champions, for sure tomorrow we play a very tough game because its never easy after the international break. We have to pay great attention tomorrow, its a game of fundamental importance". On if he has had a chat with Hazard about next season: Conte says " No, I like to talk to him about next game and the importance, he missed the last game against stoke city, we need to check his form, I hope to see him play great football tomorrow. That is what I like to talk to him about". Conte says he is confident Hazard will be fit tomorrow. On JT's contract: Conte says " For every situation, there will be a right moment, the club is working very well to solve many situations. I like to talk about John for this season because he is helping me a lot. He is doing a great job on and off the pitch. John knows my thoughts about him, the most important thing is for John to know my thoughts". Conte says football is full of surprises, " In my experience as a footballer, i won but I lost more. We need to keep our feet on the grind and work hard, there are 10 games to go and our opponents don't want to accept that Chelsea is champions. So we need to play and keep winning. On if he is frustrated to see other clubs do things more publicly regarding transfers like Madrid are doing: Conte says "once other teams want your players, it means you are doing a great job with these players. I repeat, I think that we are already in a great club that is trying to build something important" About what Wenger said that there is only one team in London: Conte says " I think in London there are many teams, we have a derby tomorrow against a London team. I listen to other coaches but I prefer to have respect for other clubs". Conte says he thinks Big Sam is a top coach, and its a pity he got sacked by England after one game. He knows the importance of being a coach of your country, Conte says it would be a great pleasure to see Big Sam. On if Palace are a better team now compared to when we played them in December: Conte says " I remember very well that game because Palace has a lot of really good players, likes of Zaha, Townsend, Cabaye are good players. IF you ask me why they are in this position, I don't know because it is very strange, same thing happened to Chelsea last season. We have to pay great attention because in the last 3 games, they won. https://www.reddit.com/r/chelseafc/comments/62lijt/chelsea_vs_crystal_palace_quotes_from_contes/ Nailed it Antonio. What a let down today in terms of result. Still encouraged by the performance, I'd expect to see us come out with a fire inside us vs City
April 1, 20179 yr Sam is a quality manager albeit one that operates more towards the lower end of the league He sussed the counter better today and a with a bit of luck and a usual so so referee -Palace rode their luck. Sam has fixed their defense that Sakho was handy back there. But there was enough strikes on their goal to equalize, one of those days their keeper showed up strong, like their back 4. Panicking now is for the gutless. 7 points is still a good cushion & you can be sure Conte will have those boys working hard to prepare for City. Keep the faith ......

Costa's game has been on the decline since January and now he has lost his goal scoring touch. We really need a result against City now. The last thing we need is to have a dip of form at this stage. Costa has been a piece of s**t ever since the China rumours. When Conte has not allowed Bats to have any playing time we are in trouble. I really hope we will sign a couple of world class strikers for next season to replace Costa.
April 1, 20179 yr Even though we have gained victories our recent games the level of playing hasn't been that good. I think it will be really difficult to win the title. I hope we will qualify for the CL.

I have the same views long time for more than 10 years , since before Daniel Sturbridge equalised for us against Birmingham City to earn us a replay in the FA. Team progress should always be prioritised , the least there should be some competition between regular players & subs. When Jose burned out 2014/2015 squad , next season we were 16th in table before he left. From this end I am only looking to next season , having at least guaranteed a top 4 spot. But if we play next 9 games the same way we did today , with no plan & no positioning. We can only carry on losing & even give up our 4 top pot. There has to be a learning curve , rather than joy riding every scrappy win. £1 billion redevelopment will be spent soon , a summer bigger than 2004 is expected this year , on the other hand 5 years since we have been among top 4 in Europe..should there there be more on the pitch to justify it?
April 1, 20179 yr Not a palace fan by any stretch, but Wayne Hennesey did play well - I read the stats after the match...10 saves? is that correct?
April 1, 20179 yr This result wouldn't seem half as bad if City weren't up next. I'm crapping my pants already, one of those 'pace the room' games I think it will be..
April 1, 20179 yr Apparently the FA and police are looking at the explosions following palace 1st goal. People ran out of the ground

April 1, 20179 yr hope people appreciate moses now. I have been saying for the longest that he is our most important player bcoz we have no sub for him.. it was pretty dumb of conte to play pedro at rwb. Hopefully conte has a plan because spurs and city smell blood
April 1, 20179 yr for some wierd reason i am not even mad.3 points against city is a must. even a draw is terrible
April 1, 20179 yr on the positive side we were going to be hard pushed not to lose one of the remaining games, on the negative side it was palace at home and we have city up next. squeaky bum time for sure
April 1, 20179 yr Very dissapointing result but cannot fault the lads for the performance, just one of those games where nothing comes off. Big game coming up next and we must bounce back with a win, come on Chelsea!

April 1, 20179 yr As expected, the media are doing cartwheels that we lost today...I always thought a setback would come, it happens, yet but for woeful finishing and referee decision, we would have still won today, despite a poor performance from several players...there's no doubt we played after going 1-0 up like a team that thought the League was won...it's vital we calm the sh*tstorm by winning Wednesday, fans need to be up for it too...thought many didn't help today by moaning and groaning or just staying quiet for long periods...spoilt by success already? Edited April 1, 20179 yr by The Brit
April 1, 20179 yr we need to win the next game. Plain and simple. The media are already licking their lips at the thought of us dropping more points to city.

April 1, 20179 yr Every season a team has one game where they dominate and yet lose. That happened to us today. 2nd half, if it was boxing the ref would have stepped in and stopped it we were battering them that badly. Every three years Wilfred Zaha has just one day where he fulfils his God given potential and is the best player in Europe. Better than Hazard, Bale, Ronaldo, Messi. Today was that one day. Next week he will be back to the poor decision making, wildly inconsistent, can't be arsed, player we laugh at for the rest of the time. Today's over. Time to move on.
April 1, 20179 yr On reflection playing our most consistent goal threat of late at wingback probably did not help our chances today.
April 2, 20179 yr Still seething at the result to be honest. Not because we played terribly (we still created enough to win convincingly), but I just loathe to open the title race up again. I won't be able to deal with the choke that we might be opening ourselves up to. We need to win against City.
April 2, 20179 yr Am still reeling from this shocking result. Am desperately hoping we'll pick up the pieces in time for City. I understand many of us a feeling very emotional at the moment. It is a devastating loss at home against a lowly side. We deserved better than this, but this is the PL and the reason why it is captivating and thrilling to the end. KTBFFH!
