We're back in the UEFA Champions League!

Featured Replies

Didn't see a thread on this but it's great to be back!

No doubt, we are England's best chance of winning it possibly along with City.

Very conceivable that we could end up with Barcelona in our group which would be very exciting as we have their number in Europe as the great Lionel Messi said.

Is everyone excited and who do you want to face off against next season?

It will be so good to see us playing exciting matches mid week! I've missed the buzz of big games, there's nothing quite like the games against European giants like Barcelona, Juventus etc.

I would like to see us face Real Madrid, really strange how we've never faced them so far!

I think we'll need to improve the squad quite a bit to get beyond the quarter finals.

Certainly, I'm pretty sure Conte know our squad is really thin and will need more depth.

2-3 players to the squad and we're going to be the machine in Europe. Conte has done an incredible job with us this season, I'm sure that he wants to improve us even more.

Can't wait for this competition to start already! Oh and please bring us Barcelona.

I want to see us play Celtic and Feyenoord. Celtic so we can all get a little Brendan back in our lives and Feyenoord because I can't remember the last time we played a Dutch team. I'm tired of coming up against Portugese and German teams in the group stages. Variety is the spice of life

Good to be back, i missed any kind of Europe to be honest. This will test Conte and the squad to the maximum, obviously this team will go under changes during the summer. Conte will have a full pre season and add players that he thinks will deliver the goods.

Only slight concern is Conte's record in the Champions League.

Went to Juventus' forum the other day and they were scathing about Conte's record in Europe, some even referring to him as cowardly in it.

Interested to see how it goes...

The title in Holland will be decided next weekend, and it's between Feyenoord and Ajax. Is it okay with you if Ajax wins it and we get to play them? It's closer to my home you see.

I hope the CL itself becomes interesting again now we're back. BTs woeful coverage is what's killing it for me at the moment mostly.

Usually i would agree with you, but i think the Champions League has been great to watch this year. The knockout rounds have been brilliant. The semi finals have been a bit one sided though.

Good to be back where we belong. If we get in another couple of players we can get to SF or even final with a good draw. Apart from Barca, real and Bayern there really isn't anyone we shouldn't beat. Or at the very least have a great chance of beating.

I'm confident of a successful return to the champions league next season.

Same.

We easily have the best chance of going far in the CL. City have gotten better at it but are still suspect. Either we win our second CL title or City get their first. Nobody else has a chance in hell.

Sure! Hopefully it's two wins anyway

Of course its going to be tough to win it with the likes of Bayern, Barca and Madrid around but we can sure give them a hell of a game, unlike the rest of these prem teams bottlejobs who always go and get destroyed by them. I'd say if we make it to the QF's our first season back in it we'd have done well! But depending on a good draw we could potentially make the SF's

Will be a huge effort to get to the latter stages while doing well domestically.

I think Conte was correct when saying our league is so competitive and tough that we tend to struggle in Europe because we put so much into the games we play 3 or 4 days earlier given the strength and demands of the game in England.

4 or 5 players required to beef us up in terms of numbers and quality I reckon.

As long as itisn't PSG I'm bored of playing those c**ts, Athleti does nothing for me, very hard game but not enough Glory in beating them, I like destroying spanish clubs for some reason, barca cant beat us and we've done them already, maybe a bit of Real M would be nice, or Juve for sentimental factor, need 4 first squad players first though, if Tottenham can dominate the ball against us imagine a Top team, we haven't looked good in big games, even the ones we won, need to address that with some new signings
