Read my post. Not difficult to understand. Not sure what angle you are coming from. Simply put, people are praising him now, where as before he was sh*te(Which he isn't.) same was done in regards to Willian. Lots of fickle people on here.

In the second half they moved that ball about with pace and directness. Matic instigated a few of those Attacks and then scores the winner. Fair play to him.

Wasn't coming from any angle - just stating an opinion that I've always held re Matic. No need to get on your high horse!

Have never really rated him. He had one decent season but is a very limited player - a typical Mourinho player.

Had an early night last night and went to bed at half-time and Matic was very ordinairy in the first half - misplaced passes, lost the ball - all the usual stuff (although he wasn't as bad as Pogba!)

So he scores a worldly winner and suddenly he's the best thing since sliced bread and the reason we are sh*t!! No, the only mistake we made was not replacing him with better - which shouldn't have been too hard but we got Bakayoko!

I watched the second half and all I saw Matic doing was play in a triangle with the 2 CBs, he wasn't really outstanding but just keeping it simple, I saw nothing in his overall game that I would want at Chelsea. Granted he scored a top draw goal but like you say it doesn't suddenly make him brilliant.

I wasn't getting on my high horse. You started going on about him as a player and your opinions of him. I was just making the comment that people were praising him after slating him. Nobody getting on there highest of horses, compadre.

No problem but when you use phrases such as "Read my Post - Not difficult to understand", just makes you come across as a bit up yourself but I posted in a hurry and should have just made a new post rather than quoting you. Won't make that mistake again!

what a f**king sh*te season it's been.

matic goes to utd, he's one of their best players.

salah goes to liverpool - one of the league's top scorers

lukaku goes to utd. scores and assists to beat us at old trafford

de bruyne wins the game vs us at stamford bridge and has been one of the best players this season for city.

f**k this season, put me in a right sh*t mood. lol.

I don't think I've ever seen a point in a season where 4 of our ex-players have scored against us from different teams, utterly ridiculous.

Real v PSG has been pretty dull so far.

Very dull psg spent all that money and still can't win it

yeah - they've looked second best to Madrid tonight even when it was 0-0

My god the top clubs in Europe are poor this year. PSG are gash and Real Madrid have gone down a level since previous seasons. Atletico are out altogether. Juventus have looked at level below too.

Bayern Munich and Barcelona may be the only big clubs left who are somewhat dangerous, but even then neither have looked like they were two/three years ago.

I would favour pretty much every English club to beat these two playing tonight. Well, Spurs already did ha!

I wouldn't count on us beating any of those you mentioned! PSG would probably have relished playing us tonight rather than Real!

Many individuals but no cohesion. It is why I didn't mind missing out on Alexis. It is all well and good having top players, but you gotta make them work.

I dunno tbh. PSG are abysmal. Last time we played them Jose set us up poorly. Maybe Conte would do the same, who knows. Their players are overrated. Mbappe is nothing short of hype, cavani is probably their best player. The last two season in the CL has shown this.

Real actually look very very good if they play Spuds again they will trash them

Don't look any different. They are missing Modric, but the rest of the team is the same. They just are not good this season. They rely on Ronaldo too much as Benzema can't hit a barn door.

Unless they've signed some new players and completely changed their tactics, i doubt the result would be any different from the last two games they played against Tottenham Hotspur. Real ain't winning it this year.

Like it's easy coming up against Real who haven't spent much money in the past :laugh2: Both Madrid teams are different to the ones who started the season.

not being biased (well maybe a bit lol) but i think the season we won the champions league was most impressive and of higher quality teams. we also won it with a pretty inferior team to barcelona and bayern. bayern knocked out a real madrid consisting of ronaldo, benzema, kaka, ozil, di maria, khedira, xabi alonso, higuain and went on to win the league. we beat a very good benfica side who topped the same group as man utd, with the latter not qualifying but coming 2nd place in the league that season behind city. then we went to beat barcelona who had a brilliant side, and then obviously bayern munich who also had a fantastic set of players. considering our team at the time and the quality back then, a think that feat was really impressive.

2 of Barca/Madrid/Bayern for me.

If Barcelona get past Chelsea, I'd expect a Manchester City v Barcelona Final, if they avoid each other that is. But I get a feeling they probably will. I think UEFA would love a Manchester City v Barcelona Champions League Final.
