Matic hands us what might be the final blow to our CL-chances.

Thanks board..

what a f**king sh*te season it's been.

matic goes to utd, he's one of their best players.

salah goes to liverpool - one of the league's top scorers

lukaku goes to utd. scores and assists to beat us at old trafford

de bruyne wins the game vs us at stamford bridge and has been one of the best players this season for city.

f**k this season, put me in a right sh*t mood. lol.

A lot people on here all of a sudden seem to have change their tune in regards to Matic.

He was often infuriating, and he’s been much the same in Manchester (his first goal for them tonight apparently) but, the problem is we replaced him with a player that can only dream of achieving the level of mere infuriating.

Kind of the same with Lukaku, he’s no Gerd Müller but he’s not some bloody milksop. And then there’s Mata, I wasn’t his biggest fan, terrific player but a bit lightweight for me, but crikey, could we do with that ability in our squad.

Mikel infuriated me often, but I’d be picking him now too. The list kind of goes on. Not our finest players but better than Drinkwater, Barkley, Bakayoko etc etc.

Season from hell, usually means a succssful one is around the corner but I think we have used all our aces on that front.

Dire stuff

Not many a season where there were no positives in the season what so ever, if nothing happens for us then it'll be easy to take one on the chin when looking at the whole picture as a CFC fan.

But I won't fully slump in until it's all over, still the CL, FA Cup and top 4 spot to fight for, just got to cross our fingers match by match. (Cross your toes too when you see the false 9 line up)

On the contrary, I feel we are still in it.

United beat Pool at OT, we beat pool at SB, the 7 point gap is back to 1. Pool might be playing in CL semis and all too. Meanwhile we might just have PL and FA to concentrate on.

Its an outside chance, but still a chance.

Completely agree. Our problems lay wirh who we brought in not who we sold. So he's out playing Baka and DD...so what it's hardly a yardstick of merit really.

Have never really rated him. He had one decent season but is a very limited player - a typical Mourinho player.

Had an early night last night and went to bed at half-time and Matic was very ordinairy in the first half - misplaced passes, lost the ball - all the usual stuff (although he wasn't as bad as Pogba!)

So he scores a worldly winner and suddenly he's the best thing since sliced bread and the reason we are sh*t!! No, the only mistake we made was not replacing him with better - which shouldn't have been too hard but we got Bakayoko!

Read my post. Not difficult to understand. Not sure what angle you are coming from. Simply put, people are praising him now, where as before he was sh*te(Which he isn't.) same was done in regards to Willian. Lots of fickle people on here.

In the second half they moved that ball about with pace and directness. Matic instigated a few of those Attacks and then scores the winner. Fair play to him.

A whole load of ifs and buts. Chelsea have to first take care of Palace at home which of late hasn't been easy. Liverpool on current form will run riot at Chelsea if Chelsea continue with this lethargic style of play. I think you are been nice when you say it's an outside chance. I'd say it's impossible for them to make the top 4. Spurs to come at home too.

I know mate. Its going to be very hard, we probably are not going to make it. BUT, (yes another but), its all about being hopeful.

The poster i quoted said, "the last nail in the coffin", hence my post of some optimism. We seriously need to pull up our socks and win 8/9 of the last 10 (if not all the last 10 games).

They're not fickle, just pissed off with things.

Ex Chelsea players above us in the league, scoring goals that are sticking a knife in our back so to speak.

You have to be a bit more sympathetic to your fellow brothers. We're all pissed !!

Can't be a bang average player getting slated, and then when he bangs another one in, his a player again.

All in this together, 100% right. Don't forgot, we sold that player to a rival, only ourself to blame.

I hear you. One of them where you genuinely can't say at this minute where that next W is coming from. This is where a John Terry speech to the players playing for this club would help(You'd hope it would.)

Everyone knows he wanted to leave us to rejoin Jose.

Didn't have to let him go. I'm sure there were other options for him. Is what it is now I suppose. Was always a bizzare one selling him to United.

If Bakayoko had been the next Essien we wouldn't even be having this chat (yeah i know some comparison, but they are in the same price bracket allowing for inflation).

I'm one of the people who wasn't that fussed he left. Respected his job he did for us, but business is business. I never thought of Bakayoko as an instant starter or someone that would replace Matic. It just boils down to Matic getting stick when he didn't warrant any of it, and then praise all of a sudden when he makes a few plays(which have always been in his locker.) If Bakayoko has half the career Matic had at Chelsea I think we'd all be happy.
