Is it Egypt vs Russia tonight, or just Salah on the pitch by himself? Cos he's the only one I've heard anyone talk about.

I've come to understand the country is called Salah nowadays.

It's weird, why should we care about Salah? Is it just because he plays for Liverpool? You would never hear them say the same about Hazard.

Yep, time to switch back to my own country's channel.

it's pathetic, and you're right you'd never hear any Chelsea player get such adulation - even if they were English!

All the stinking pool factor.....nothing else. They cant wait to lick his balls......

There isn't a perfect team in this tournament, they all have their strengths and weaknesses.

Of course your right.....but this Eng team just do not cut it for me. Full of average players who play for their darlings......and Thus all the adulation.

This is REAL courage from @MoSalah to still impact the game with such an obvious injury. I hope his World Cup is remembered for a real pride in his nation and his bravery in trying to carry the weight of expectation of 100m Egyptians on that dodgy shoulder.

Dear god, he's injured his shoulder, he's not playing on one f**king leg.

:laugh2: - I've seen people dislocate their shoulder playing rugby, getting it popped back in and playing on

it's so pathetic, completes the narrative that Liverpool were robbed by Sergio Ramos and now Egypt suffer too...

Bloody hell, i don't remember Rooney getting so much sympathy when he came back from a broken metatarsal.

Did he impact the game? Apart from the penalty he did nothing.

Also I can think of a lot of things in life that should be described as "REAL courage" ahead of playing football with an injury, like perhaps living through all the stuff a lot of his fellow countrymen and women back home, have been lately?

Let's focus on things that really matter: the Panama goalie kit is horrible., and those lozenges on the Belgium shirts remind me of the 80s. Thumbs down allround. Thank goodness for the yellow and black referee kit.

You absolutely have my attitude to these competitions @Valerie .  Let's focus on the important things!

Belgium are like England of a decade ago. Great players, but look poor in tournaments.

my son said exactly the same thing.  So, must be true.

There have been some disappointing results for some of the big teams, but as we know the first game is to get the bugs out and brush off the cobwebs; I fully expect all of the so called contenders to make the last 16.....but you there might be a surprise upset with Germany as looked really disjointed...

Russians are scoring goals easy compared to the rest of the teams playing, didn't expect that since they didn't do well in the friendlies right before the WC started. 2 games 8 goals scored, wonder if Uruguay can stop them...
