The pundits have been way too harsh on Japan, what they did was not pretty, but it's not the first time it's been done and won't be the last. If anything, it's up to Poland to push on for a second goal, after all they were only playing for pride and player like Lewandoski should have tried to score a goal at the WC. Had Japan pushed too far and conceded another goal, they'd be seen as naive, so no one should blame them to took the calculated risk.

Colombia should be a good game, i can see Colombia playing it tight, they never got a touch in the Senegal penalty area until the 57th minute and only 3 more touches after that. They don't high press much at all and usually all their moves come from the back. Falcao/Cuadrado will be facing players they recently failed against in the premier league, that must be playing on their minds. Colombia historically implode at some point, and i can't see them stopping Kane with their defence.

Agree, they are tricky players and am sure one of their defenders played in the EPL and another plays for Barcelona so Gareth and the boys will have their work cut out.

Noticed Rodriguez went off injured so that may work for us yet even with this loss they should not be under estimated, if we are not on our game we are out!

However you spell it as long as there are more goals next to the ENG at the end is all that matters lol

For me today's pick is France v Argentina, too close to call as neither side playing to their potential yet think France will edge it even if via penalties.

France were my favourites to win, but i hope they go out. I find France to be a complete bore to watch. All 3 of their group games are up there with the very worst of the tournament so far.

Lets hope for Messi sake, he doesn't pick Hiaguin, the man will miss a couple of glorious chances as usual. France hasn't showed much so much, soon we will find out if they have been taking it easy, or they haven't figured themselves out.

It took 15 seconds for an Argentinaian player to go down and have a roll.
