Kante for me is motm......both goals scored by mbappe should and ought to have been dealt with........he is good though. But our ocean ( Kante ) is such a beast.......

A Pogba-Kante midfield + Matuidi is great against this nonexistant Argentina midfield. If France can replicate this form against their next opponents, they could be a shoo in for the final.

The Messi v Ronaldo debate is the most boring thing in football. I don't see why people can't just enjoy both players.

Thought Messi wasn’t that bad today. Real poor management of the team.

What a boring match that was.

Argentina have a multitude of top forwards messi, aguero, higuian, dybala, icardi, but the rest of the team (bar otamemdi)is the worse I've seen from an Argentina side.

Strange that they didn't bring parades, even stranger that they didn't start Romero in goal. 

Oh well bye bye argies, there goes another England's bogey teams. 

It's been a fantastic world cup so far, and I don't know if it is just this heat wave going to my head, but I really think we have a good chance this year. There isn't a team that doesn't look vulnerable. 

A chap on another forum said he was not following the World Cup due to lack of quality and boring matches, haha.

Thought Argie vs Nigeria was the best match of of the tournament until today.

France clearly the stronger team yet Argie certainly had a go and  was impressed by Mascherano at 33 in midfield.

Mbappe finished superbly and two great long range goals from both sides.

It  will be fascinating if France get to meet Brazil.

I said earlier France would win now I think Uruguay will send Ronaldo and team home.

Yeap, it's boring. Because there is no debate. Messi might be more talented, I'm not sure about this, but he is loser and the last 3 years of performing for Argentina and Barcelona desplay this pretty obviously.

i think Uruguay will win as well, I've not been impressed with portugal at all, and Godin won't be giving anything easy away for ronaldo.

Don't understand why Argentina play one of the best goal scorers in football history, as basically a defensive midfielder.

Not sure how sane you must be to describe messi as a loser. He has won everything at club level and individually multiple times. 

I guess that makes JT a loser aswell, certainly hasn't won as much as messi. 

Why not just enjoy both ronaldo and Messi as the great players they are?

See, this is why i can't take you seriously. In the last 3 years, Messi has won 8 trophies, won player of the year and scored 156 goals for club and country. If this is what you would call a loser, then i don't see how you can see anybody as a winner.

I'm not comparing Messi to anybody, neither I care about his statistical feats. I'm comparing him to his biggest rival - Ronaldo - the way he improves his game in the big time, the way he scores goals against Munich, Juventus, Atletiko, Spain. Just Jordan and Kobe mentality, nothing to do with the talent and the entertainment they deliver. You guys, never talk about the "power of the moment" when everything is at stake and the way he's nowhere to be found. And then, you start with the statistics against Eibar and Bilbao and his trophies in the past.
