Thorgan looked very good against England, even though he was played out of position. Yep. Eden is important, but we did a KDB coversation. Thorgan was very good against a not good England B and I'm sure he will be ready if we need him. Doesn't matter if that is against France or England A.

Is there a VAR system for moderators?

July 5, 20188 yr question for the 3 Lions Fans here - you agree or disagree w/ these gents assessment of England?
July 5, 20188 yr They were bad against Colombia and got lucky. Created virtually nothing all game. Better side will smash them.
July 5, 20188 yr @robdog Good clip. Agree with McManaman and the Alejandro chap, Burley's accent was a bit hard for me to follow. The point Alejandro made about the pass to put a forward in is spot on, we don't have that midfielder. McM. was right about midfielders not being able to turn so they pass back to the CBs, the exception was when Kane and Alli came to collect it though that was just a couple of times. I get the feeling we are trying to pass it through the middle yet we are closed down too quickly. I would also like to see Rashford on the right even if off the bench yet he still needs someone to find him in space. Edited July 5, 20188 yr by Strider6003

I don't think England got lucky, Colombia were lucky to even be allowed to get back into the game, they could easily have had a few red cards. Colombia didn't want to play football until the 80th minute. I'm fine with how England are doing right now. We know we aren't great, and we know we are getting through mainly because of Harry Kane and hard work, but the majority expected that to be the case anyway. This is the weakest squad of players England have probably ever had in a world cup, and they reached the quarter finals, which is better than Germany, Argentina, Spain and Portugal, that in my mind is a success. It's just good to finally enjoy watching England, it's something i have experienced only a handful of times in my life.

This has been a good world cup, England having reached their expected potential has enhanced the experience.I never at anytime felt we would lose against Colombia during normal playing time. Fingers crossed we go further.Sweden will be a very hard game.
July 5, 20188 yr Author England's leading all time scorer Wayne Rooney has scored less World Cup goals then defender John Stones. Some stats just say what they mean.

The few times I saw Rashford play on the right, he was pants.

He does at times for JM and can put in a decent cross which has been lacking so far. I agree this is not his natural position though feel we need something different against the Swedes.

Exactly as I saw it, but you know zeta, never lets an opportunity to be ultra negative pass.
July 6, 20188 yr Author Giroud and Kante, Willian, Hazard and Courtois all playing today, the latter 3 are on the verge of leaving the club if you believe the bookies, 1 or 2 will have free time tomorrow to sort it out. I wish for a Brazil win in the hope it will mean Courtois and Hazard get overlooked by RM, and Uruguay send home Kante and Giroud.

July 6, 20188 yr I can't be the only one that thinks people have overrated Mbappe's performances in this world cup so far. He was ok against Argentina, but they made it very easy for him. I don't think he was that great in the previous 3 games. I don't agree that he and Neymar are the only big stars of the game left either. I don't really see how Mbappe can be called a big star of the game yet anyway, he's only been around for 2 seasons at the highest level. If Mbappe is a big star of the game, then so is Kane, if anything, i think Kane has performed better than Neymar and Mbappe overall.

Best player this WC is still up for grabs and the best performances yet to come, but who will it be ? Hazard, Kane, Godin, Neymar, De Jesus, Mbappe, Lukaku, Stones, all still in it and have a chance.
July 6, 20188 yr I enjoy the national anthems and the children in front had smiles which was cute. Interesting to see how the decent Uruguayan defence deals with Mbappe and the rest of the French.
