1990, 1996, 1998, 2004, 2006, 2012, my whole life i have watched England lose on penalties, and now i have finally seen them win one.

Not quite as tense as the Champions League final, but it's still hard to watch :sofa:

didnt we beat spain on pens 96 ?

Yes, but still, i have watched England go out too often on pens. I can't take it anymore

we can sleep well tonight, knowing penalties have been mastered is a great weight of my mind.

I think Southgate needs to make some changes for the Sweden game. Sterling is just offering nothing. And with Alli and Lingard playing quite high, it leaves just Henderson alone in the midfield, so we're outnumbered on counter attacks very easily.

Loftus-Cheek has to start the next game against Sweden, Dele Alli just looks really off. He's clearly unfit. I would honestly start anybody ahead of Steling, the guy doesn't know how to play football, he's like Bambi on ice with the ball at his feet.

I feel sorry for that Colombian player that fucked up that PK - surely he will pay for that miss

And then their were EIGHT.

I said yesterday (i think yesterday, sorry drunk), Gary Cahill to score the WC winner. Got to put a tenner on that. It's been a strange WC. Out of interest do you have the odds on that permutation.

I am sure that Bacca & Sanchez will be looking over their shoulders now a bit more

They won't be flavour of the month back home perhaps they should go to Europe for the holidays.

I heard that Sanchez has already received death threats for receiving that red in the first match - he was the one that fouled Kane in the box for England's PK - he has played in Europe for the past 11 years, so I am sure he can figure somewhere else to go besides Colombia

Why is ITV's priority to tell us that Henderson's penalty was really good and a great save? Is that really the most important thing?

Gotta give credit to Liverpools' players where it's due.

This website whoscored had good preditions in the knockouts look:

https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1293606/Preview/International-FIFA-World-Cup-2018-Sweden-Switzerland Predicted that score

https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1294525/Preview/International-FIFA-World-Cup-2018-Colombia-England Predicted that too

https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1293605/Preview/International-FIFA-World-Cup-2018-Brazil-Mexico Almost predicted that one -1 goal for Mexico

https://www.whoscored.com/Matches/1294524/Preview/International-FIFA-World-Cup-2018-Belgium-Japan Almost predicted that one -1 goal for Japan

So according to them, Brazil will win Belgium 2:1 and Croatia will win Russia with the same score.

Great penalty save by Jordan Pickford. Well done England.

And what an amazing save Pickford made from Uribe's shot from about 30 yards in the last couple of minutes.

Mind you from the corner Colombia equalised. However, it takes absolutely nothing away from that save.

Credit where it's due, to come back from conceding in injury time and looking spent in the first 15 of ET to keeping enough composure to win on Pens is great effort.

Too many players who were either flat out sh*t or offered very little....Sterling is a terrible footballer, just has pace nothing else. Young offers very little and Rose should start, Lingard was quiet and Ali doesn't look fit. I hope Southgate is brave enough to change a team that progressed, I don't think he will though.
