I like both Dzeko and Giroud as options....but 35 million...that's 15 too much.

One rumour - Bats to Dortmund then Aubameyang to Arsenal ........ does that then mean Giroud to us and if so we have bargaining power IMO.

Yes but they can take advantage of our desperation, the world knows our target criteria and they know they have what we want.

Other things that raise his value:
- PL proven
- Not CL tied like Dzeko is
- Selling to a top 4 rival

We're not a rival, Arsenal should be more concerned about Burnley in the quest for 6th place.

So does Batman hold the key for arsenals auba deal? If so tell them to drastically lower the price for giroud or no loan for Dortmund.

 

is this a loan or what? if we buy him for £35m it would be poor business imo. unless we plan on selling michy in the summer for 50m and then buying an even better back up striker or strengthening elsewhere.

He wasn´t though, if you read his articles, you´ll see that he always mentioned that the main thing holding up the deal was Dzeko´s demands

Didn't he say the deal was done?  Just the other day?

Despite being a player I rate, it doesn't sit well in the mind that they're getting one of the best strikers in the world while we get their 2nd/3rd choice striker.

i dont know; every article i have read of his was that an agreement existed between us and Roma in principle, but not between us and Dzeko.  But, he has always said Emerson will happen regardless

Abraham is nowhere near ready to play for Chelsea on a regular basis. 

 

If we send Bats out before securing a replacement we are a joke. 

I'd rather we had Morata / Bats AND whoever comes in (if anyone).

I assume Giroud is available for the CL campaign, since Arsenal isn't in it this season. 

Deadline day we’ll either sign Giroud or go back in for Dzeko. That’s my two cents.

I am not sure about this at all. we want a striker to make a claim for first team spot and i don't believe giroud is that guy. considering he's already a back up striker at arsenal, i don't see where we are improving. dzeko would have been a much better striker to have challenged morata for the starting spot. i don't think giroud is good enough to the lead the line for us to be honest. i may be made wrong, but the jury is way still out for me.
