Sarri

Blanc is better. Younger, got trophies in his resume, got experience under super pressure, looks better. What else should we want?

More tophies doesn't count when you manage a team like PSG. A monkey could have managed them with the team they had and the league they play in

Given our history, no managers will last more than 3 seasons with the club, almost become indifferent whom the manager is.  Sarri or Blanc, just sort it out ASA. I don't know whats Napoli's game plan is, unless they want to pay 2 managers next season, it's their benefit to work out a deal with us, unless there's another club interested. But if Sarri is set for Chelsea, he could just sit out and get paid for a while until Napoli had to cut him loose, with or without the compensation package.

You say that, but he literally won the treble 3 seasons in a row. Monaco were splashing the cash a bit then too I think? Not saying I want him but he did better than Carlo at PSG, and he’s hardly crap is he.

Also did well with Bordeaux and allows attacking players to express themselves unlike Jose and conte this year.

Could do worse is all I’m saying!

True to some extent, but come on really? Its like when pep was managing bayern, anyone could have done that job.

Blanc is a decent manager, but he won't last with us I can tell already. I mean people last season were looking at Conte as a long term manager to last years and years and now look just 1 year later? We'll be getting another manager soon after Blanc no doubt.

But i suppose a change of style in football would be nice compared to Jose and Conte, but then you could also argue that Conte's first season he played some very nice football too

I was a big fan of our style last season and really thought conte could be here a few years more. Can’t believe how quickly it all fell apart.

Like you say, whoever we go for, I don’t see any manager lasting more than 2 years now. Why I’d be worried about ever putting lamps or terry in the hot seat.

I hope Lamps and JT gets better treatment than our previous managers at least if they ever managed Chelsea.

That being said, Blanc has a pretty good record but just as much a coin flip as Sarri was.

I'm glad we're holding out & not giving in to De Laurentiis' ransom. We shouldn't encourage what he's doing. Apparently Sarri has an encyclopaedic knowledge of football so he will probably already know roughly what we need. As long as we've spoken to him about potential transfer targets and are making inroads behind the scenes i'm not too worried.

I don't think anyone could legitimately make that argument. There was barely a game where we dominant, although we went on a run where we looked like we were never going to lose. The football wasn't great, and I was very worried that if that aspect didn't improve the next season, he was doomed. The quality of football was better under Jose, which is saying something. Personally, I was massively looking forward to Sarri coming in...

Disagree, I thought there were games we dominated. Both through the scoreline and posession. The quality is usually there when we have the talent edge or teams give us the initiative. The trouble comes when the passing patterns get tested and a couple of players get found out.

I see no reason replacing Conte. I think media is making a meal of everything he's said.

I think Conte will play more attacking football if he is given the players. Look at Sarri's squad. Great attacking side in a much slower league.

We will save money to stick with Antonio. Use that money to buy better players.

I’m a Napoli fan. Sarry didn’t win anything because the strongest team he coached is Napoli with only 11 good players (and two of them had an important injury) and F.C Juventus is mafia. He’s a fantastic trainer and he came out recently because he started from the second lowest division in Italy.

Assuming we don't buy anyone and no ones leaves, what would you ideal squad for that formation be?
Perhaps:
               Thibaut
Azpi Rudiger Christensen Alonso
                  Kante
           Fabregas Barkley
Pedro          Morata        Hazard

I know Maurizio Sarri like my pocket and I can tell you that Kante will never play in that position. He loves playing with a DM very good in passing, like Jorginho.

From what I've watched of Napoli, I'd see Kante playing a role closer to that of Allan.

We need to find someone to play that deeper role. Jorginho seems a bit like Fabregas. Great on the ball but vulberable off it and lacking in speed. Seri seems a bit similar,  faster but a defensive turnstile.

Diawara from Napoli interests me although he played very little this year, Weigl from Dortmund is another option. I actually think it might be worthwhile buying N'Zonzi from Sevilla. He played a similar role under Sampaoli and did it well.

Exactly, Kante's role would be that of Allan. Jorginho is definitely stronger than Diawara, he lacks in speed, but he had a great tactical intelligence. He's more difensive than Fabregas and he recovers rapidly a lot of balls. Diawara is very young, and he's not so good technically at the moment. Paredes or Jorginho would be perfect for that role.

I follow them since they’ve played in Serie A, but obviously I don’t have a total knowledge like Napoli’s players. Torreira is a good player, but I think he isn’t good enough for high level teams. Paredes has an incredible potential and he always impressed me when I saw him playing, but he has to improve defensively.

Sarri and Zola combo all over the tinternet...personally I'd even take Avarm Grant back if it meant Sabotage Agent Conte is thrown out on his ear...
How does Zola keep getting chances? He was a great player but his management career has been lousy at best.
