If this ends up with me being forced to support Liverpool in the Champions' League final I think I'm gonna give up on football for a while and start watching golf or something...

Laporte cost City the tie, he was at fault for 2 goals and was awful all game.

Blimey what a game (and probably the best in the CL for just under 7 years) - Son is a cracking player and honestly I think i'd rather have him than Kane if forced to pick.

Somewhat happy with the result - improves the chances that Ajax can get to the final, however also increases the chance of Spurs or Liverpool winning it. Tough one, the choice between City/Liverpool/Spurs/Barca to win the CL is like choosing an STD, Barca being herpes as it will be horrible but at least we won't have to see/hear about it as often.

I'm not a fan of half and half scarves - and in my view they should be banned - but hopefully this will be the scarf being sold for the CL final.

An Ajax v Barcelona CL Final, please...

A Spuds v Liverpool League Cup or even a FA Cup Final, would always be a bad enough thought.

But a Champions League one...

I suspect that in the next few days the media in England - and possibly in other countries - will be pleading fans of English clubs beside Liverpool and Spurs to get behind those two teams for an all-English final.

So the next round is

• Barcelona vs Liverpool
• Tottenham vs Ajax

Both hard to call.

 

Think All neutrals want to see Ajax lift the trophy.

As much as I want to see Ajax beat Spurs and then beat The Dippers in the final, I do fear Liverpool could beat them. So I just hope in the Barca v Liverpool tie that Messi is unplayable and Suarez & Coutinho play well against their former club and put them out. My fear is their defence looks poor and Liverpool will score goals against them.

 

My money is on Ajax beating Barca in the final.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Barca - Spurs final.

Ajax and Barca can rest players for league matches, not an option for the prem teams, must be a big disadvantage........or advantage depending on your camp.

Agree on your point concerning resting players, the way I see it is Poch seems to have the game plan to beat top sides. Of course nothing is pre-ordained (though I got a funny feeling in 2012 after we beat the Italians) yet think he will study Ajax and make tactical changes. Oddly the thing with Harry Kane becoming fit again might cause an issue as they currently seem better with Son.

Anyone but Spurs to win. Anyone. We'll never hear the end of it- the first trophy Spurs win in over 10 years, the CL trophy?
