A sculpture of Liverpool and Egypt football star Mohamed Salah unveiled in his home country is raising eyebrows on social media.

The artwork was put on display on Sunday at the World Youth Forum (WYF) being held in Sharm al-Sheikh.

It depicts the striker with his arms out wide in the goalscoring celebration he is known for.

But people have suggested it looks more like singer Leo Sayer or Marv the burglar from the film Home Alone.

Gives new meaning to the saying about one's head being too big for one's boots...

Fulham are atrocious. Remember at the beginning of the season people were hyping them up because of their play in Championship? Sessegon was going to be the next best thing, people were surprised Seri went there etc. Now look at them. Some of our own fans wanted their manager haha. Absolute dogsh*t at the moment. I am sure they will play out their skins against us though haha.

To be fair they've fallen into the trap a few clubs do when they come up.

Instead of keeping the spine of what made them a good team last season they've gone out and spunked a fortune on players all over the pitch who aren't use to playing together.

Whether Jokanovic wanted to buy 10 new players (or however many it was) I don't know but there's no denying he did a great job with Fulham to get them promoted and he did it playing good football too.

I call this the QPR effect.

A newly promoted side comes up, looks to try and blow away the competition by grabbing as many good or formerly-good players as they can - all the while whittling away any skerrick of team cohesion.

Then their fans are wondering why their side is struggling with a side with impressive Premier League experience.

i am not at all optimistic about this, the system is corrupt to the core

will be interesting to see how this plays out

The system has been corrupt for years and years to its core.........peopel were somehow shocked when Blatter was corrupt......same when it is said EPL is rotten.......and now again with Platini, Infantino. I can only shake my head when people act surprised that psg and city are involved. It has been obvious to dead dog that the rise of city and psg is flawed big time. In just a couple of years they claim to boast a higher revenue than Chels Arsenal etc......ad very very close to utd's. That is just not possible.......unless as proven your owner and his relatives pump sh*t load of Cash into the Club way way way over market value. In essence the investors dont get anything in return......city simply do not have the fan base to even gather half the amounts. This needs to be taken seriously and now. They must be punished and all parties involved or anyone profiting taken Down. Footbal is not the footy we once loved..........its pure politics, biasness and corruption.

I don't think it is corrupt to the core though agree City and PSG do need investigating and action taken.

A few years back I also suspected Real Madrid.

When I say corrupt to the core I mean the people behind the scene whom have the power to do and act as they see fit. Like the names mentioned. Thus those with power. Wasnt it Cruyf who said he told Fergie in the late 90s that if he wanted the CL he had to take those in power for a low ride?

these are the same people who banned Barca from signing players and then allowed them to buy for one window before enforcing the ban

we need to change the structure, i think the best thing to do is enforce salary cap

we have too much disparity between the bigger and smaller clubs. a club at the bottom cannot realistically think about being a champion (Leicester being an exception)
