Man Utd are dreadfully average, but always seem to get back into games from set pieces and being decent in the air/having big physical players. It's tedious to watch, but the jammy f**kers always seem to apply the same tactics and teams find it troublesome to deal with.

I think people are overreacting about the quality of it, it's always been this way. I personally think the knockout rounds in recent times have been fantastic to watch, as good as it's ever been.

Defences have become atrocious though ... Fullbacks quality has gone down the sh**** !!!

They were incredibly lucky tonight !!! Against a more defensive side they won't do fcuk all imo.

So Sihtty and Manure are through. Spuds will go to UEL hopefully. Hoping PSG will fcuking wake up and send them dippers to UEL too ! I don't mind them : they're highly overrated so it will give us another chance again to expose them fcukers !!! The same goes for Spuds of course.

I think that's 19 goals in the last five games for City with just 2 conceded. I don't care how early in the season it is, there's only one team going to win the title this year and they must be in with as good a chance as they'll ever get to win the CL.

That's the thing, we might be unbeaten but it's City that are above us. And given the way that teams are playing them after throwing in the towel before they've got off the team bus, it's hard to see them dropping enough points to let anyone get above them.

Citeh may win the PL since non top 6 teams are really catastrophic in their approach vs Citeh. But honestly we can go the distance vs them with the way we're playing sarriball atm. As far as the UCL is concerned, don't forget they struggled vs hoffenheim and lost to Lyon ... UCL is not a given for them this year methinks. Manure will get done in the Round of 16 again hopefully !

Man City is so dominating, at this rate they will defend the PL title easy every year, specially if they keep spending nobody can match that.

As we say in Sweden... Sometimes even a blind hen finds a piece of seed. We didn't have one decent chance prior to those two goals :laugh2:

Us going through to the next stage and Liverpool going to EL seems possible and would be one of the few highlights of this season... That's my expectations of this season :sign0202:

Gianni Infantino claims Man City's FFP deal with UEFA "saved football"

Manchester City alleged to have ignored warnings about deal with company accused of mistreating migrant workers

The BBC had reported in 2009 how poorly Arabtec had treated its employees. Arabtec workers had gone on strike in May 2013, which was said to have resulted “in violence and deportations” and there had also been reports about the dire conditions in Abu Dhabi for migrant workers.

Vicky Kloss, the City director of communications, was said to have sent an email to club executives warning them to avoid a deal. “I think it’s the biggest single risk to [our] reputation we have faced since 2008,” Kloss wrote. “The gap between what we do and what they [Arabtec] do is unbridgeable.”

Referring to Nicholas McGeehan of Human Rights Watch, a vocal critic of City’s owners, Kloss reputedly also wrote a deal with Arabtec “would be like winning the jackpot for him”.

The concerns were overlooked and the decision was taken to sign a regional contract that would be publicised only in Arab states, Russia and Turkey, where there was considered to be less risk of condemnation

The way Abu Dhabi City have conducted themselves is the ultimate reflection of how we might as well be supporting Google, Microsoft or BP instead of football clubs now. We've spent years getting ripped for having bought everything with dodgy Russian money, but City seem to be escaping the same abuse even in light of these allegations. At least our money has been from a single benefactor who has spent his personal wealth and operated largely within the rules. They're basically a front for the Abu Dhabi tourist board, business institute and propaganda ministry - along with the half a dozen other franchises they have around the world. They really are the football equivalent of McDonalds if it was owned by Philip Green.

Either Jose was a technical genius or that was pure luck, having a GK that makes 2-3 big saves every game makes a huge difference. Sterling should be banned for that dive, it's beyond a joke. The Manchester derby could end up being a 5:1 City, or just like the game last night, United may salvage something if City fails to put chances away after 70 odd minutes.

It is truly shocking how little attention this is getting in the British press. This should be the biggest sporting story in the world right now.

Cuz its all politics mate......if this was us not even God himself could save us. It would be on sky etc until we got ass raped. But its city, the nice arab oil Money flowing nicely......good pals with them arabs, big arms deals etc........

I googled his managing career since 2007, and it seems he is slowly working his way up. The Chamlionship may be his level, but he may also still be learning. Not everybody is an instant success in a big league. He would have been unsuitable for us tbis season, but who knows how he develops in say 5 years.

Fair point, I think he could become a good manager in the premier league at some point, but he’s got to improve tactically, he only knows how to play one way at the moment, plays in to teams hands.

It's like Lampard, I think Lampard has huge potential in his managerial career but I think he'll need a lot more time first to every manage at top level, it might not even work out for him this season or the next, who is to know. We can really only say if he's Chelsea managerial material in 5 years or so, still very far away.

Struggling strikers, so glad we are not the only team having that problem right now. Pretty arrogant of Klopp to rest 5 players going to a must win away game, got exactly what he deserved.

I've said it before now that I can't understand why teams fight to get into Europe and then rest players when they get there and flop.  It's not the first time Liverpool have done this - remember when they had a CL game midweek v Real Madrid but rested players because they were playing us at the weekend?  f**king joke!
