I reckon Drinkwater is gone regardless who we get in but the other is a tough one as I think Chelsea would like to get Cesc off the wage bill but realistically who’s gonna take him so I can see Barkley being loaned

He is essentially the conductor of Sarri's system, playing as the deepest midfielder. It's a smart move to buy the most important player in Sarri's system. It will help everyone else adapt.

He'll bring a real control to our build up game although I do wonder how he will adapt to England. He's not the quickest and not the strongest, he is less of a defensive turnstile than Cesc, but it'll be interesting to see him defending on the counter. My feeling is that we might play something closer to 4231 rather than Sarri's 433 to make sure Kante is there with him to cover the counter.

They do it because they are in a sh*t league where their team is by far and away the best and most expensive side around. 

Messi does it because he is a freak player who is so far ahead of every other player it's ridiculous to even compare.

Guys, seriously, look at the quality of his passes, this is an absolute master class from the board If we pull this up, he is going to be a game changer for us, this is a Azpi/Hazard/Kante/Courtois level signing

He reminds me of Aquilani (ex Liverpool player).

Is his passing any better than Cesc's? I think we need a pacier midfielder. I have no idea what Sarri wants if he comes. With Conte I think a more athletic player is what we need. 

I watched 3 games in which he played last season and liked what I saw but I obviously wasn't focusing on just him. Should have looked out more for him. From highlights I've seen online....my, he's an absolutely wonderful footballer. Reminds me of Xabi Alonso. Cesc but with better athleticism and infinitely better defending.
