Jorginho

And it was DiMarzio reporting this, so it is most likely true.

Could mean we are indeed signing Golovin, so if the Jorginho rumors prove true, we would have Golovin-Jorginho-Cesc-RLC-Bakayoko-Kante-Barkley-Drinkwater

At least 2 must be sold or loaned out.

Drinkwater is basically nailed on to go this summer. See a rumour linking him to Newcastle today and West Ham have apparently shown an interest too.

My guess would be that either Golovin or RLC go out on loan.

The Independent now reporting that Manchester City have pulled out of any potential deal for Jorginho paving the way for us to sign him, meanwhile Italian newspaper Il Messaggero is reporting that we have agreed a €65m fee with Napoli.

That fee has to be inclusive of Sarri as well.  Jorginho alone I do not believe is worth that price tag

I don't agree with others saying we should loan or even sell Barkley, he would be one of the midfielders i would keep. Even if we bring in Golovin and Jorginho, we would still lack goals from midfield and Barkley is the only midfielder we have that can score goals from midfield.

I agree.  I would honestly go for Baka on loan.  The guy seriously needs to improve his form and prove he can play in this league. At least Barkley has shown competency playing PL football.  Jorginho/Kante, Golovin/Barkley, and Fabregas should be enough.  Maybe keep RLC if we plan on rotating him out wide as well and as cover for a midfield spot.  Sell Drinkwater, obviously.

Barca dominated world football with a midfield of Busquets, Xavi, Iniesta. We don't need goals from midfield if the service to the attack is spot on.

Barca didn't need goals from midfield because they had/have Messi. That said I'm still not convinced by Barkley and would prefer his place to go to Mount. Loan RLC, sell Barkley.

Barcelona had a forward that scored 90+ goals in a calender year at his peak.

No need to get upset there, my friend.  Some of us may choose to believe these reports and some of us may not.

It's absolutely tragic. Now all we need is for someone to claim it just blocks youth players

Between the exasperating posts on this forum, occasionally there is one like this that cracks me up :laugh2:

You should try Talk Chelsea.

Out of the three members who repeatedly get the most rep points (they have a weekly count on the home page), two are the most negative members you are likely to see on a internet forum anywhere and the other talks a repetitive load of playground sh*te and offers literally nill in terms of football insight.

I'd probably get shot for saying this on here but it use to be a great place to go on, however now i'd be amazed if the place survives the turn of the decade. I love it when the serial moaners on here get called out, on TC @brakeit would be put on a pedestal and likely have a 1:4 post to like ratio and i'm not even joking :face_palm:

tbf I've twice been told I offer nil football insight and they are probably right

Moaning is addictive. Even when we win titles people moan about how we play whilst winning them.

Saying "We should be more expansive" usually works very well for me, it hides a multitude of.... nothing really :jester:

Lately this'll work. Drop the 3 at the back and employ a more expansive attacking formation. Leave the finer details to management and the minds of the reader

Okay then, PSG have done pretty well with Verratti, Rabiot, Motta, Matuidi and Pastore all putting up pretty weak goal scoring number in recent years.

Good tip, I need to work in that "3 at the back" a bit more.
