I think Jovic has had better games, although he still played well considering his team had around 35% of the ball last night. 

I think your point about whether he can adapt is valid, not so much with going from counter attacking to possession, because his touch and link up play are good, and he can score with minimal space. My only worry is whether he can adapt to playing as a lone striker, because he has generally played off Haller this season. 

I think will adapt to be that focal point though, as aguero and firmino have before him.

All fair points. Funny you mention Haller. I reckon he might actually be the better player. His number have been huge this season too and not inflated by the 5 goals against Dusseldorf.

Off to Madrid apparently for 60 million euros

Reports say he's going to Real Madrid and that it's already a done deal. Zidane will splash a lot of money for next season so I guess this is just the start of it but what a great start it is.

Part from Real getting Jovic, rumors are that Zidane still wants Hazard and also believe it or not, Pogba as well.

Would love to know wheter we can sign anyone. Otherwise this rumours-section is pretty useless.

Wouldn't be our worst signing if our board can pull it off. If he goes to madrid with Hazard then Real will most probably challenge for everything again.

Hazard obviously instantly betters any team he joins, but I honestly don't think Jovic improves Real all that much, at least not right away.  Benzema is having a hell of a season, 21 goals and 6 assists in the league - Jovic could certainly match that but it's not going to make them much better right away.  Whereas, if Jovic joins us, he improves us quite a lot by default, due to our lack of production at striker.

I agree but having a world class striker and a good backup will make Real Madrid better. They didn't score enough goals to beat Barca but with a good competition for the CF position and Hazard, they might just be in the title race again.

While Benzema is a WC CF, having quality competition within the squad is a nice problem for any club to have. 

That being said, our striking options need to be refreshed and this guy is a great candidate to take a punt on

I was thinking this aswell, even if we agreed to slightly lower the asking price for hazard, it would be worth it to win Jovic's signiture.

Sounds like Real have got him for just over 50mill, good deal in this market. Shame we missed out.

Real are big enough to be ruthless. They know they can get both without breaking sweat. Shame really. I thought they would go for Icardi but Jovic seems to be a cheaper and way less stressful alternative. Would hedge a bet he'll go on to be better as well.

Not looking to another season without a decent striker.

Jesus I hope not.  Just what we need, another striker on the wrong side of 30.  He has had a really good season though.

We never would have had a chance with the uncertainty surrounding this transfer ban. Until that is clear, there will be no movement on the transfer front.
