So it seems to me that laying the responsibility for the woes of our club for the performances of the team, the quality of individual players, the strategy and financial wellbeing of the club as a whole at Abramovich's door is somewhat mis-directed.

Spot on Whitewater. This rewriting of history blaming Abramovich for a supposed decline is just wrong.  The season that the club was left without an owner and sanctioned we finished 3rd and reached both domestic finals , losing both only on penalties.

The season before that we won the Champions League and finished 4th... If that's a club in decline, I'd take that over what we have now !

The new owners wrecked everything within months of the takeover...

Anyone can elaborate on what's been said about the ticketing? I'll try to look for the video later on.

Apparently there is a this online ticketing company, called VividSeat or something like that, where you can go on now and buy tickets for games that are not even on sale yet, like Man Utd in May. Two tickets in Matthew Harding Upper is nearly $700 and you will get then because there is a trader on the other end of it, meaning tickets have already been passed on for resale as massively inflated prices.

Third on the list of board members - Todd Boehly.

Therefore don't even bother with the membership scheme and points gathering as we've still bu88er all chance of getting tickets when they come out for sale.

Just went on the Vivid Seat website.

They are selling seats for our game V West Ham. Says there's only a few left.

A seat in what they call " short side lower" which on their map is either Shed lower or MHL is on sale for £279. .. "The seller is a trader" . So, you don't need to even be a member as you rightly say.

Not a good thing for our co-owner to be involved in. In fact it's f**king awful .

Why cant we follow Liverpools model? They have American owners and don't overspend on dross.

Michael Edwards.

Its not only the owners, its the clowns they've hired telling them what to do.

Look at Liverpool's transfers under Edwards then look at some of the sh*t they signed the last couple of windows. No wonder they've done what they can to bring him back.

How can we buy tickets now from an "online tout trader" for a game that isn't due to take place until May 18th and is for sale at, what 5 times the actual ticket price? At least with the Foo Fighters you're guaranteed a bloody good performance.

Why did we finish 10th after Jose won the league on his return? Then the same happened with Conte after we won the league? How does that happen. It wouldn't happen at City after they win the league, or many top clubs across Europe after they win the league title. Yet we go from winning the league with Jose to 10th the following season. Conte wins the league, we finish 5th the following season. We should have pushed on even harder both times. Van Dijk was rumoured to us before he went to Liverpool, but he chose Liverpool, despite us having won the league. Why? Roman was far from ideal in the last ten years (and more) of his ownership.

We happened win a few trophies, but far from being dominant. Even Pep was put off coming to us by how the club had treated previous coaches, along with the running of the team. Things could have been different. Look at City, their owners came in later than Roman and have overtaken us as the most successful club in England since the takeover. People blinded to Roman and his running of the club are just as bad. People dream back to the days of 04-2012, but since then it's been haphazard with a few trophies to paper the cracks.

So in 20 years of ownership we didn't qualify for CL only twice? 5 league titles though.

Liverpool in the last decade that you point to have one league title and finished outside of CL football twice.

How weird to downplay arguably the greatest owner in PL history.

Here's a shorter video about the tickets mate:

I suggest people like yourself, @Boyne and anyone else who is a member or ST holder watch this and see how the club think about you and plan on making extra money.

This is not an opinion piece, on social media BS as DKW would say, it is facts show about real ways to buy tickets long before they should be on sale.

That second half of Roman's era that you are complaining about :

2013-2022

9 Seasons

  • 2 PL Titles
  • 7 times in Top 4
  • 5 FA Cup Finals (Won 1 Lost 4)
  • 3 EFL Cup Finals (Won 1 Lost 2)
  • 1 Champions League
  • 1 Europa League
  • 1 FIFA Club World Cup
  • 1 UEFA Super Cup

Literally the only part of our history when we can claim to have "won it all" 🙂

Qualifying for the CL means zilch if you aren't competing for the PL trophy. We've been way off for years.

Kudos to these two for putting themselves out there and having a conversation about an issue/ raising it not just with the club but across the league.

Raises a few Q's from me. What happens if there is trouble in the ground caused in the wrong end? Who is responsible? Club or ticket agency?

How is this essentially not being a ticket tout?

If these ticket outlets do have access to clubs, doesnt this undermine safety and policing of football matches outside of grounds?

Does selling tickets via sites break the financial contract with season ticket supporters who are sold them on the basis of first priority? Can Season ticket holders cancel payments etc?

Certainly interesting take on things and might explain why the ground sounds like a busy cemetery..

Qualifying for CL means a lot to me and by definition it generally means top four finish which i consider to be competitive.

We are far better than Liverpool who are the champions of coming second generally.

@axman2526 Thanks for posting. Interesting. That's a hell of a mark-up on tickets given that a seat in the MHU for PL games is £50. The lads in the video mentioned in the video that tickets are available anywhere in the ground. Not strictly true as a ST will have first dibs on their seat for non-league games and if they can't go to league games may give their ST to a friend or sell it through the Ticket Exchange near kick-off time. That could be dependant upon whether or not the game. is moved for television. I haven't been to any cup games this season and a friend of mine has used my ST so she can take her grand-son. However, the point about tickets being available on Vivid Seats and other ticket sales is worrying. Is it a form of ticket-touting? I don't know. Can the police or other authorities do anything about it. Again, I don't know. I guess that could be down to where the ticket-selling agency is registered or/and located.

Unless I missed it I wasn't clear about how many tickets are available to Vivid Seats etc and I doubt it we'll ever know because the club won't tell us. I'm getting cynical in my old age. As for season ticket holders I've read and heard different figures i.e. from 25,000 to 28,000. I'm not sure how many members we have.

It will be interesting to know what happens with season tickets in the future. Could they be phased out and seats sold on a first come, first saved basis? Dynamic pricing? Something the U.K. Government is planning to stop but then governments say a lot of things. Apologies for getting too political.

Do clubs - and Chelsea is not alone in this - need and respect season ticket holders and especially those who have been following the club for more years than they care to remember. I can't speak for all season-ticket holders but as for me and those I go to the games with we rarely visit the shop and drink and eat in the ground. If more and more tickets go on general sale more money will probably be spent in the shop and bars.

What has any of this to do with the atrocious way these current owners are nose diving this club towards eventual ruin. Brian Mears fcked us all over as well, with Batesy picking the club up for a pound. No relevance there either.

The club these clowns took over were Champions league winners, World Club Cup champions, with an elite manager in charge and totally debt free. All the board members, operational staff, groundsman, tea lady, boot room, team management, backroom, and all barring maybe 5 players have been bombed off and here we are now having lost all credibility as a club, spending 1.5bn and still with no spine to the side. Shambolic

I’m lucky I belong to a subsidised season ticket club at work and pay £33 for west lower .

that being said in the third draw I just got Ipswich .

but I met up with some young lads that live in my area and there’s about 10 of them with season tickets

and I step in at last Minuit if someone can’t go and I pay £50 for Mathew Harding lower.

also for cup games I use general sale . I have used live football. com and payed less than face value for cup games.

i trust the touts in the street more than online tbh . My limit is pretty much face value.

always fear being priced out of this after 50 years of going to the bridge (will post some photos on vintage of me when I was

a kid with Clive walker , Peter borota , Ron Harris when I was a spoilt kid and daddy used to take me , just need one of my kids

to help me find/upload them.

I just knew that these massive marked up ticket sales existed , total scandal !

Also I’ve looked at the very top rows of east upper that used to sell for £22 restricted view , on sold out games

these seats are empty . It’s like the club can’t even be bothered to sell them , forcing people to buy at mad inflated

prices. I would buy these tickets just to be in the ground for a big game . They don’t sell them anymore.

Not getting a striker would be the biggest failure this board has had, I'm not being dramatic but our top 4 hopes depend on it.

Then forget top 4, cause we ain't signing one. Unless you count the Kazak kid who won't be here until 2026.
