Have you tried to buy tickets on the official website in recent years? It was bad before but now its near impossible (looking at you Mr Boehly). I'll only travel to European cities or if i can pick up tickets on here, i'm not giving resale websites a penny.

Aah okay. No I haven't for a while.

If you can say anything about this ownership, they've certainly caused more friction amongst the fanbase than any other ownership or manager I can remember. The forum has never been as angry and had as much in-fighting. We are all letting these clowns get between us as a fanbase. We should be united in trying to get these people out.

I'm not sure, i think there was more of a divide with Sarri. The vast majority want Maresca gone, there's only a handful on here that think he should stay.

Yes but at least when Sarri was here, we had Roman in charge and there was always some optimism that his next pick would work better. While we are clearly stagnating under Maresca, this is only a symptom of a much bigger issue and one that is unlikely to get solved as long as Clearlake own us.

Again I am thinking of the Glazers and Manchester United here. I don't know everything about it but it's been constant fight between fans and the ownership.

Not sure this is the way. Better communication would be much better.

For me, when we went home and away to support our team especially in the old 2nd division, contributed to the " save the bridge" fund when we very nearly lost Stamford Bridge to property developers, our club isn't just a football club. It's embedded in our personal history, it was a massive part of our growing up as kids and into adulthood. . Doesn't make us better fans , but you can't get the same feeling of community, togetherness, commitment, and emotional attachment etc if you're fans who watch from afar in my opinion.. With respect to you, I think that's why you can view Chelsea in a dispassionate, unemotional way, in a way which it's impossible for me and others to think about our club.

Note....No, I haven't canvassed every single fan from abroad to calculate their emotional attachment to Chelsea 😂

I agree with you in part Sun, I was also there as a young nipper putting 50p's in Save the Bridge shakers, but I think football massively changed with the Premiership and the following rich owners and big money! A lot of that community feel disappeared over the years as football became more of a global brand and Chelsea no longer was just for the oiks down south!

If someone is overseas, they can't help that, and although I agree they may not get that more old skool passion that was once there, I don't think they should be thought of as a fan any less, certainly not in this day and age of football. Some born and bred in England have since moved overseas or just further away, and some abroad may be able to attend more games a season than someone close to the Bridge! Some foreign Chelsea fans may know a massive amount more about this club than some at the Bridge these days, that's what it's become!

Just looking at this forum, you can tell a lot of fans abroad put so much energy, time and passion into the club, which makes them a passionate fan in these times! We don't have to get up at 4am to watch the game over here!

On the flipside, there are some proper older skool Chelsea fans that have been cashed out of the game or just lost interest since the sanctions, as there is nothing much we as fans can do about this new ownership. It seems some have just gone and put energy into other things due to that, which again, I can understand.

Agreed, leaves us on a slippy slop we are tumbling down.

Thanks for your reply Mod., I agree with your points ., of course our global fan base can be as passionate as anyone. I was just making the point that the emotional and historical family ties, and the bonds we have with other match going fans is absent in overseas fans. That doesn't make them any less of a fan than myself or others, but there is a difference. It doesn't mean one is superior to the other..

I dont want better communication. What I want is to see progress on the pitch. The players moving the ball forward, quickly. An end to the sideways and backwards dallying. Us closing down like hounds. Communication is pointless and hollow....show me.

I can only hope there’s another loophole coming, surely the people running the club have something up their sleeves cos they don’t even have a sponsor on it. Normally I couldn’t give a sh*t about the CL. Obviously other than our glory years when we were actually in it to win it. I never understood people’s obsession with being in it, above say winning the cup. For me top four was for the bean counters in the board room, cup finals and trophies were for the glory, the players and the fans. The tripe we have been served up this season would normally make me say I’d rather miss out if it meant this manager gone cos ffs he has to go and we’re a million miles away from being serious contenders but from all the numbers being touted about we need it badly…. Because of the stupid amounts wasted there are no beans left to count. And the owners, Sd’s, the manager. They are either doing their best swan impressions or they know something we don’t. Make it make sense?

Might be this summer, might be the one after it, but if we carry on like this and don't have CL football to offer our better players will leave.

Caicedo Linked to Saudi, Santos to stay at Strasbourg if they can offer CL football. More and more will follow suit. the best players will want CL football.

And we will Be left with players like Sanchez, Jackson and Tosin.

Dont forget Felix, Disasi, Sterling, Chilwell to come back in the summer. Going to be a happy camp.

Surely there has to be some inside disgruntles within the board?

This is private equity money our co-directors are wasting, and all we have to show for it is going in circles with every billion spent. All the while our sister club, with a fraction of the investment, is the one most likely to achieve champions league football.

Of course there is and it will start leaking when someone wants to make a power move in their favour.

Private equity losing money but also they are probably looking long term and thinking it will come good.

We as seasoned fans can see it won’t come good as the entire model is wrong and it hasn’t worked before so why should it work now.

"Hi mate. This from some article about our debt. Like others articles I've read it again uses the phrase "the owners are betting on growth"

This is a recurring theme, they believe that PL clubs are currently undervalued, and are looking to massive increases in broadcasting income and possible broadcasting deals for individual clubs in the following

The thing that gives me no confidence in the way we are going is that Egbahli said when they bought us is that the club was poorly managed on a sporting level, poorly managed on a financial level, poorly managed on a marketing level, poorly managed on a data level etc etc .

By any measure we've got worse on the " poorly managed" things that he identified...

"Risk Management and Future Considerations

Could this become problematic? Yes – if assets don’t appreciate or the debt is mismanaged. But Chelsea’s owners are betting on growth. The structure provides flexibility to refinance, delay repayments, or pass debt to future ownership.

As outlined, “It is also worth noting that because the money has been borrowed over multiple years, it gives the club’s owners plenty of flexibility, meaning they could choose to refinance the debt at a later date.”

We're already there @axman2526 . Granted it might be bollox but it was widely reported this week that we're looking to sell up to 17 players to raise up to €500m. Well to quote Matisse, the maffs ain't maffing bruda.

If €500m is the expected total receipt that equates to an average of about €30m per player, meaning huge losses overall, so it can't be that.

If its €500m profit, not on your fking nelly mate. Not a prayer. You'd clear maybe £50m on Palmer, you'd get some pure profit from Colwill, possibly James, Acheampong. Counter this with taking a bath on Sterling, Chilwell, Nkunku, Mudryk, etc. Nah, 500m profit pmsl.

We're now literally on the fringe of the must sell to survive zone. Time to see how these 25 year mortgages they tied the players to is going to play out.

It's french for "Evissy loves Clearlake"

Amusingly we just got beat at home by Legia Warsaw whose whole squad on Transfermarkt is valued at 36.4 million Euros, and whose record signing is 2.5 million Euros.

"Embarrassing" doesn't accurately describe that result LOL ...
