There is a good chance CHO won't get any minutes tonight. Unless we have a comfortable lead I am sure that experienced players like Hazard and Kante will be brought on ahead of him. Unless we pick up some injuries to our wide players, I am not sure how many more minutes CHO will get this season. 

WOW!!! CHill people. Its like people feel like young English players are entitled to starting matches just because of their passports. I am sure if RLC AND CHO were tearing it up during training they will be given a chance to start. Sarri is resting our big hitters in Dave, Rudiger,Kante , Hazard and Higuain. He is obviously not going to weaken the team even more just to make the English press happy. I love this eperienced team and hopefully RLC AND CHO can make an impact off the bench if they are called upon

Dynamo Kiev are not to be taken lightly. They have been a CL club for previous seasons, barring the last 2. They are a capable of being a banana skin. I don't like this tie, but hopefully we get it done and don't concede.

No one has said that it’s becuase they’re English. In CHO’s limited game time his output is far better than Willian and Pedro. Barkley and Kovacic are just average and in the attacking role of the three centre midfielders offers nothing. RLC is a superior attacking option. It’s a matter of them being better than the players in front of them. That’s the issue people have, not their nationality.

Fair point. I agree that RLC offers more offensively and CHO has more attacking flair than Pedro and Willian but i think the problem lies in their tactical awareness and defensive naivety .  I am definitely rooting for them both but i just feel like fans want them playing more because they are homegrown

So the opponent has a 20 year old striker in the starting lineup due to some suspension, and around 5 of their players play for their national team as well.

He wont bench the senior players for a variety of reasons, pressure to win trophies / get top 4 from above, senior player incentives on top of base contract salary - appearance bonuses (starts & from bench), assist & scoring bonuses, results bonuses all add considerably more dosh to the greedy B's paychecks which they siphon offshore like all the 1% do; manager risks unrest by senior players if he sidelines them. More importantly when in the last 15 years of Roman's reign did one youth player get an extended run out or a proper fighting chance - Never Happened.

 

But they're all Chelsea so lets hope the selected few today make it happen.

The problem is mate, it’s our attacking and goalscoring that struggles badly pretty much every week. There’s players there that could potentially help that, so we become a little bit less defensively solid? So be it. Kante just sit a little bit deeper in his box to box role than usual to compensate for it.

Pedro has started really well.

Another argument why Willian should start this game, he played against Dynamo Kiev around 20 times in his career.

What relevance does that have? How long ago was the last time out of curiousity? I suspect when he was playing in Ukraine, I would assume they have a significantly different team now than they did then.

It’s not really a surprise anymore is it though? He has one sensational game and then a run of bang average/poor games. If he didn’t run around as much as he does he wouldn’t be near the top level of football.

Looking again at the Dynamo Kiev players, many are youngsters so I think CHO should be playing.

Just get Willian off corners, please. That was terrible, he didn't even get it higher than the first man's shin.
