Mason Mount

he is a snake and a bigger one than Tibo because he managed to fool most this fanbase with his pathetic claps after constantly dropping 1/10 performances

your time's up old man, football isnt just about hoofing the ball up and showing passion anymore. Its about technical ability and playing with a brain. your kind of "fan" is slowly fading away and I think you're struggling to come to terms with it

If there's anything we've learnt from your short, but moronic time here it's you shouldn't be discussing anything football related, other than if its round or square, even then you're gonna need an adult to help you.

He's a bigger snake than Courtois. Courtois went to Real Madrid, not our domestic rivals, nor was Courtois a former academy player either.

This kind of disloyalty Mount is showing is surprising even by the standards of the modern game.

The only consolation is that I'm pretty sure he's going to flop hugely at Man United, like most of their other signings do. He isn't as good as Bruno Fernandes to play #10, and as a CM he's been completely mediocre whilst he was here.

I don't blame him for wanting out perse, it would be hypocritical of us as a fanbase given we'd be shoving Gallagher out if we get a good offer for him.

But the way he's going about it is all kinds of wrong, what's the odds he fires shots at us as soon as he's in that shirt despite all the support he's got?

Yes, that is true, but we are not in a weak position because, as Sconnie Blue (I think) has pointed out, with the players that are outgoing, we have probably mostly covered the FFP issue. Without the hurry to get within FFP, we can take our time and stand our ground until the end of the window, they'll come back for him if they really want him. We don't want to look weak, we need to stand our ground.

I'm not too sure why they really want him in the first place, neither are most United fans from what I'm seeing. Might as well sell Mount to them now before they start looking at actual elite prospects like Caicedo/Barella instead

Nothing wrong with wanting to leave the club, but wanting to leave for Man United is insane.

It's not like United have been massively more successful than us in recent years, if anything it's been the opposite the past decade. And from the looks of it they're only offering him 200k per week, same as us. If it was Man City I'd understand but this makes no sense to me, if he loves the club as much as people claim.

He'll have a similar affect to Willian at Arsenal... first game or 2 will look good and everyone will be moaning here and cheering in manchester... then as time goes on people realise he is just not that good

he doesnt love the club as much as some of our idiot fans believed and thats clear to see. Just another footballer who had a good PR team telling him what to do. Clapping after games was apparently all it takes to fool most our fans 😂

my understanding of football and its nuances are greater than yours. you need to stay far away from discussing football and the technicalities behind the sport and just stick to the pies and beers for that gut.

some of our fans really are embarrassing these days jesus, this sport has fallen off

Willian was just getting old to be fair, he was 32 when he left us. He was always a class act here, the only player not to throw in the towel during 2015-16. And a very decent winger whilst he was with us, much better than the likes of Pulisic/Ziyech at least.

Even when he scored for Fulham against us years after leaving he refused to celebrate, Mount isn't in the same bracket as him when it comes to loyalty.

oh 100%, I was merely just talking about performance wise. As a servant to the club Willian was stellar. Sure he wasnt as good the last couple years here, but if you were to ask me whether id have a prime willian or prime mount? Willian 100 times out of 100

I’m already expecting that tbh. He’s most likely going to throw the board and the fans under the bus the moment he leaves. It’s the easiest way for him to wear a united shirt without seeming like a villain. It’ll be easy to point fingers at the board given our league position last season and then he’ll call out the minority of fans that attack him on social media to make them seem like the majority. That way he has a “valid” reason for leaving his boyhood club.

Yep, and like with Mourinho it won't process that the vast majority gave him the type of patience and support no other fanbase on earth will.

And he'll have the exact same d**khead minority at United who abuse him aswell, you only need to see what he gets on England duty.

Look I like Mount, I even still respect him despite him wanting to go to a rival like United.

While it does somewhat instinctively annoy me that he wants to go to a direct rival at the end of the day it is what it is. If a rival team can offer him a better contract and he wants that then I can respect his wishes. Plus, we don't know all the ins and outs, he closed down his Twitter, so it could be he's sick of the abuse he's getting from fans. But I will say the grass isn't always greener, because even though I am disgusted by some of the abuse he gets from Chelsea fans, I've noticed he gets even more abuse for England and I can't see how Manchester will be any kinder to him. A lot of their fans as of now don't want this transfer. It could also be he's fallen out with teammates and the board members, who the hell knows?

I just hope he shows some respect when and after he leaves. As others have pointed out it could be a Mourinho situation where he's firing shots at us, if that turns out to be the case I can see even the most loyal Mount supporters on here turning on him almost instantly.

Either way, he's made his mind up, this whole saga has left a sour taste and it's best for both parties if he leaves. He's given us some good moments but the last two seasons have been a bit meh if I'm being honest and as much as I do like and rate Mount I'm not at all that bothered by the idea of him leaving. Especially for 50+ million with one year left on his contract, I say go for it. Some might disagree or even laugh but I think Nkunku is an upgrade on him anyway and I don't think Mount will be a starter here anymore, that's probably another reason why he wants to go, but time will tell.

Should Arsenal have shown respect to Van Persie by that logic?

Yes, if it wasn't for RVP they would never have got top 4 that season, he scored and assisted like nearly 80% of their goals something ridiculous like that. And they had 0 ambition to match his standards for a title challenge.

Fair enough, but Mount hasn't had a season where he's scored/assisted 80% of our goals. Nor do we have less ambition as a club than Man United, we arguably have more since the Glazers took over.

Genuinely I don't think I've ever seen a player been treated as softly by sections of the fanbase as Mason Mount, when far more loyal servants to the club, along with fellow academy players, have not been given the same treatment.

Too many people see Frank Lampard in him, he isn't good enough to lace Frank's boots.

Hold up for a second here... He can't be a bigger snake cause the original snake went to Madrid after being a total bitch by not even going to training and if my memory is correct, he was always a diva that didn't even respect Cech and there were days when he just didn't even bother to take 2 steps forward from the goal-line.

Mount saw the club go through changes of epic proportions to the point where even Tuchel said it's not the same club anymore, a lot of things changed and maybe it's all too personal for him.

I remember when Hazard, Cesc and Costa were all called rats, Jorginho booed at home by his own fans, I can’t remember any of these players disrespecting the club/fans like Mount currently is.
