I f**king hate these twitter posers saying "I know the truth which none of you know, and I will soon reveal it" kind of bollocks. Either say what you know or shut the f**k up.

"You will know the truth soon enough."  Essentially means after they have enough time to form their PR statement which doesn't make the players look money hungry.

Let's be honest, for every one of their scenarios (Mount, Havertz, Kovacic) if you scratch away the PR statements, scratch away the fan theory '4-4-3'  bull sh*t, scratch away the Matt Law or Alex Goldberg biases, what it boils down to is money. Incentivized contracts was always going to rub certain players off the wrong way, particularly players who feel like they've warranted more. They may have well been promised one thing before Laurence Stewart came in and actually started steering the ship away from the ice berg Eghbali/Clearlake were heading towards.

The club's new wage model has a long term goal with becoming financially sustainable. With Pochettino's appointment and Stewart getting rid of almost all of the dead weight + players that don't want to be here, I think this fanbase needs to start getting together again to support the club's decisions. Because since May we have genuinely within a fortnight started to operate like a proper club.

I think we were operating like a proper club from the very beginning, however because of the speed in which everything was done it seemed like a mess. This sort of process whereby a whole club is taken over, entire board changes, recruitment and scouting changes and whole managerial/backroom staff and players changing whilst also building squad and trying to rectify the mistakes made by the previous regime and also looking to buy stakes in other clubs and start a multi club model... Is usually something that takes several years, and it has been done in about 12 months which is pretty insane. Of course there have been some mistakes, but in all honesty not that many in my eyes.

Was it a mistake to spend as much as we did last summer without having a proper board/recruitment in place? Yes.
Was it a mistake to sack Tuchel when we did and hire potter into this mess as a project manager? Yes
Was it a mistake to sack potter without giving him enough time, and giving the reigns to the hopeless lampard? Yes

But outside of those things, everything else we've done has been good, it just seems crazy when everything happens so fast, but now that we are clearing the squad of deadwood and building the squad back up to an elite level whilst being very clever in the way we do transfers (selling to saudi's, long contracts for ffp etc) I think its clear to see that this ownership is very smart and they certainly do know what they're doing

Well let's hope we play like a proper club too 😎

Sums up my thoughts but I still have a question Mark over Todd until I see another normal season or what we as Chelsea fans would expect as normal under Roman

Not yet but given we turned down £50m and we've lowered the price I imagine it'll fall somewhere around there.

Last weekend various reports said Uniteds offer this week would be their "last one".

Be nice if they stopped messing around, getting Mount to act like a spoiled child, and just pay the money. They are not broke like Inter, they don't need to act like them.

Fixed it for you.

Of course I'll be in the minority here but 55m-60m for an average player with 1 year left on his deal is great business from us.

Its a good deal for how long his contract is but lets not rewrite history and pretend he's an average player.

Absolutely insane for the club to be letting Mount go. Have they learnt nothing from last season at all?

If you don’t rate Mount, then you simply have zero knowledge of football. One of the brightest and most talented players in the country, who has come through the academy and they’re just going to let him leave to another big 6 team?

No doubt his replacement will be yet another overpriced player from abroad, with no Prem experience who will flop harder than Mudryk.

This club is a total mess.

Similar thing happened last summer when they signed Antony. "Final bid" every week or two until they eventually met A**x's original asking price

Not even southgate picks him anymore, he is just not that good. People crying over mickey snakey mount when hes the one pushing for a move to united.

Never was good enough. We should be focusing on the actual cobham gems like James and Colwill who are brilliant, not roadrunners like Mount and Gallagher.

Honestly, seeing the news made my heart sink like a rock, I almost shat a brick. He must have a heart of stone.

Mason could have stayed at Chelsea and helped to rebuild the house, but I suppose he has feet of clay (etc.)

He’s not being picked by Southgate because he’s not been getting game time at club level.

Mount is a brilliant footballer, hence why he was consistently picked at club level by multiple managers and at international level.

That all stopped when the club decided he wasn’t deserving off a better contract, yet they’ll bring players in from abroad on 8 years terms and top weekly wages.

It’s a disastrous decision by the club and the new owners.

Understand Manchester United are set to submit new, final official bid to sign Mason Mount 🔴

◉ Final proposal will be in excess of £55m as the two previous bids were turned down by Chelsea.

◉ Sources guarantee deal has to be done by the end of next week, Man Utd want quick resolution.

◉ Manchester United have no plans to bid for fourth time — it’s now or never in negotiations with Chelsea.

◉ Personal terms already agreed on long term deal as Mounts wants Manchester United move soon.

You think hiring lampard was a good idea?

Hes the worst manager in the history of the premier league LOL

If you thought he was hired to get wins you must be braindead.

We needed Potter gone as he was given ample time and just making us worse each game. Lamps came in and after the first 3 or 4 games stuck to giving the youth players minutes and steadying the ship ready for Pochettino to come in. Madueke barely got a sniff before Lamps, after he came in he was one of our best attackers and now we're excited to see him next season. Same with Hall and Carney.

Lamps basically killed his managerial career to come and help us out one last time, he'd do anything for the club. Biggest Chelsea legend there is with JT and Didier.

So is he still “Proper Chels”?

This is genuine question as I find it hard to understand someone who seems to love the club just running away.

No one knows what happens behind the scenes but I suggest probably a month ago why didn’t he just sign a one year extension club can still get a fee next year and he has one year to see if he wants to continue but he or his advisors seems hellbent on leaving.

No matter what happened behind the scenes if you love the club you stay and fight, you have a new manager coming in things will change, it’s just baffling.
