Yes, but this should be done on our terms not theirs. And for what is worth, all the drama is happening here on this forum. What’s going on is normal in all signings, they offer X, we reject it and counter offer. Mount’s camp are the ones meddling to bring the price down, but it’s not even great news.

100% agree that it should be on our terms I’m just concerned if this isn’t settled before pre-season, does Mount come with us or not? United also have a tendency of dragging out transfers all summer so there might not be drama now but that in and of itself will cause it to turn into the saga of the summer.

58 plus 7 is us sticking by 65mill Total and moving how it is paid. Good, we should stick to 65mill. The amount of money United make is obscene, but they are doing this cause they think we are idiots.

Looks like the difference is 10mill, so maybe give up your signing on bonus and first years wages so United can cough up the extra if you are so desperate to move eh?

I have seen a few people suggesting a deal worth around 60mill gets this done.

55mill plus 5mill add ons the common prediction. I reckon they might be right but I believe we stand firm enough to get a Total 62mill deal.

5m is just a rounding error in the bigger scheme of things. He will have to train away and lose an entire year of his career if he doesn’t get the move. As a good standard average premier league you get what 10-12 seasons. Every poor one is 8-10% of your career down the drain whether you are paid or not. 

With Euros coming next year, he's not getting in if he's not playing regular football next season. So if Mason wants to wait for a free transfer, just bench him for the season, think we could manage it just to send out a message. Either United or him has to fetch the extra 10M required. He's not threatening us. He goes on a free next year anyway if we don't sell him before that.

And if he's as useless a player as a lot on here claim,  then I don't know why they aren't happy that he's pushing for the move.

He doesn't want to wait for a free transfer though does he ?

He's pushing to leave now,  we need to get him out soon, get the money and move on

I know. I may not like Boehly and his Clearlake crew from the way they mishandled the season but if there's one thing I can bet, those investment type billionaires don't chicken out easy.

I would have been delighted with 55m, but I want them to stand firm now and get the price that’s on the tag. We have looked like mugs this past year chucking money round left right and centre. Stand firm now and make a statement.

Maybe he just wants out, to a high profile team and United have come in for him.

Disappointed because as we all know, in the right setup, he can be a class footballer. However, as others have said, no player is bigger than the club and it's blatantly obvious, for whatever reasons, he is determined to leave. We need to get this done as quickly as possible and move on. 

55 is a great price. Chelsea should take it with some add ons

Mount, havertz, kova is about 150 m + the Saudi money.
