Not actual Blackmail obviously, but they have put it out there in the media that they are prepared to go for other targets including Caicedo.

Mount and Caicedo are different types of players and I think they are trying to put pressure on us to sell because by all accounts he still isn't looking to sign a new contract even if he ends up staying, they also know we are after Caicedo so for that name to specifically pop up is designed to put pressure on us IMO.

I like it. Shows we’re serious about negotiating

Mount will have someone remind him that if he doesn't give 110% for the next 12 months the only club offering him a contract will be the Aston villas and evertons. Or one of the big clubs on a much lower deal than we have offered him. 

He absolutely can't afford a second season of mediocrity. 

I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if you see him sign an extension in October. 

But I also think the most likely outcome is still united sign him for slightly more in a month or so.

As it stand none of these deals are completed.

Probably being held up waiting for Gary Neville to find something to get this deal cancelled by The Premier League.

Can’t see Bayern stumping up £60m. I still think it’s all posturing by United. 

I guess we will see Mount’s true colours in the next couple of weeks.

The way I see it is he either knuckles down and fight for the badge like Drogba did, despite pushing for a move and still end up a legend or he’ll force us to sell him.

Obviously I’m hoping he ends up staying but my heart is telling me he wants out this summer.
