Is it possible that there’s a faction on the Board who actually want to sell Mount for some reason and have pushed him out of the club? I’m just trying to get my head round why he’d want to leave the club. It’s not as if United have offered him more money than he’d get with us, and I find it hard to believe he’d want to jump ship on the basis of one poor season. Especially as the club seem to be getting its act together. And it’s not like he’s agitating to move to a club like Real or Barca. Or even Man City. If anything, it’s a bit of a sideways move.

To be fair to him at 61 and totally wrecked by drugs he probably out ran the Chelsea team of last season.

Well the Guardian are claiming the Bayern interest is real and they are set to offer us a deal that totals 65mill.

Some very different reports coming out this morning. Now saying Mount never wanted to leave and he felt the club were pushing him out rather than him wanting to leave. The reason of no deal being offered since Feb being an example.

It is confusing, so much here say. Best to wait for official comment/statement from the club or player.

Paper talk, not happening. Bayern need a CF, DM, RB & CB in order of priority. Where is he going to play? He isn’t better than any of their current options.

This is all a game and people should not fall for this. United know Caicedo is our main target so they throw his name out to speed things up. On the other hand Chelsea know Bayern have the money and they are going to be active in the market this summer and given Mount's relationship with Tuchel and him being one of his favourites during the UCL winning campaing, we throw their name out in the hope United raise their offer.

For all I know, at least this confirms we indeed have Caicedo as our 1st option and we'll move for him once Mount (and Havertz) is gone. Which will eventually happen IMHO. They are probably only a few millions appart although, for me, the 55+5M offer is a fair one and would take it in the blink of an eye. Take your Chelsea tinted glasses out and Mount is, IMHO, a fairly average player in the last year of contract who, let's be honest, is not worth 65M in any part of the world. Maybe in Saudi Arabia, I agree, but apart from that, were reall football is played, I'm afraid he is a 40M at best.
