The wages and deal offered to Mason Mount is MORE than generous.

I admit I don't know but that's just my opinion. This is a forum of opinions....

How do you know how much they offered him is more than generous? Did he tell you when you were delivering his milk to his door step, I bet he invited you in for a cuppa and showed you all the details of his contract offer.

Mason Mount has received a very VERY good offer from the club and the Club obviously want to keep him. The club DO NOT WANT TO SELL HIM. Our new manager wants to keep him. However, The club will not be held to ransom by a player. NO player is bigger than the club. The wages offered to Mason Mount by the club is a very decent deal. A really good deal.

Mason Mount has a new agent – an agent who is based in Manchester strangely enough.

I think at this point if MM was going to leave us it would be in the treacherous region of actions.

Well why didnt you tell us earlier you gave been involved in the contract negotiations, it's great to hear from someone close to all this.

Cool, we know that you think Mason mount moving to United equates to him being a traitor.

In very simple easy to understand English....

Businesses hire talent to fill positions that need filling.

When company doesn't have individuals that match with roles, they hire externally or promote internal candidates.

Currently Manchester United have a position they need filling and are going through a process of recruitment. They have identified Mason Mount as the most suitable candidate - they've offered him a deal and Chelsea have also offered him a deal.

The decision now rests with the individual.

The individual, now has a fantastic decision to make. He could stay in the same environment that he started his professional working life at, or, he could try a new office and company that may align more closely with his personal and professional aspirations. Us normal folk call this career development.

Just to clear up the use of traitor...

Traitor definition. a person who betrays someone or something, such as a friend, cause, or principle.
"he was a traitor to his own class"

At what point has Mount Betrayed Chelsea? Is a player who has won silverware with us, the Champions League a traitor? He's done wonders for us.

There's always been a lot more emotions in football and the club you support than a simple career change.

I'm OK with it and he can do whatever he wants as far as i'm concerned but he's seemingly doing the same thing that Courtois did and he's had all kinds of abuse. If you are one of those who's had a major problem with Courtois for years and call him a snake and what not then you shouldn't be defending Mount for pushing to leave for United.

The employers and employees, i.e. the clubs and the players, have similar emotions to career development as everybody else. Those heavier emotions come from outsiders, i.e. supporters. Nobody who is directly involved in the decision-making process needs to take emotions of outsiders into account. They can acknowledge them, but that's about it.

Look, I'm one of those that is hurt (now have come to terms) by how I am perceiving his comments and move (emphasis on the perception bit, as none of us know exactly what has been going on). But, he has in no way behaved like Courtois did towards Chelsea. If he doesn't show to training and makes the Club's position untenable, then yes, but at the moment, Mount has not commented about the Club (other than the media reporting insistently that his camp is saying that he wants to move either now or on a free next summer, which is his prerogative, though weakening our stance in the negotiation) nor has been absent from training (the season hasn't started yet).

How much is this " very very good" offer that the club have put to Mount ? ( Keep in mind we're talking about ridiculous amounts anyway)

Agreement reached with Utd, 60m.

Pending medical, then looks like he's gone.

A fair few have speculated for weeks the end agreement to suit both clubs would be 55mill plus 5mill add ons. Looks like they may be right.
