i wonder how much he is getting at United?  maybe a littlle bit moe?

According the Matt Law £250k a week and £300k with bonuses.

That’s wages for match winners and game changers.

United making a rod for their own back when new players come in and demand Mason level of wages.

We should ask them that question, what happened to them two? Why didn't they get any better after the Champions League win?

So many questions, how this season even happened in the first place is a mystery to me.

Simple answer is that Roman isn't here now!

Mount will earn £250kpw base with the ability to take the his wage up to £300kpw. - Matt Law

There's our answer. Money Mase.

I can't fault him, I like Mason but I don't think he's worth that much at all. I think the club made the correct call on him.

Maybe I'm wrong, (I hope not) but I just don't think Mason is good enough to be a key player in a team that wins titles, I think he lacks consistency and he doesn't show up enough in the big games. For me, he's a good squad player but nothing more than that, he's still relatively young and can improve but definitely think United have overpaid for him here. Time will tell if I'm a mug or spot on but we'll see.

Roman would never have hired a muppet like Potter that's for sure. But I do think Havertz and Mount's performances fell off massively after the Champions League win. I don't think that can be totally pinned on Roman not being here anymore, those two went missing for large periods, especially in the big games.

I literally have no ill will with Mount. A footballer's career is short and I don't blame a player for wanting to get the most he can. He gave us his best and he's a Chelsea success story.

It's his "stans" that get me every time and try to make this a club issue with the twisted narratives instead of Mount simply wanting more money.

Yeah I'm sick of people saying "you don't know anything about the situation" but then somehow know that Mason is the innocent/guilty party. So many people are contradicting themselves.

Glad this is over, once again we show unlike other clubs we let want away players leave.

Mount may well score against us this season yet we can now move on with signing the new players we need for this season.

Alex Goldberg looking like a bigger mug than he already is. Was willing to die on the Mount doesn't want to leave/it isn't a money issue sword.

i have ill will towards him. i mean i will be over it by next week.  . . . but then when i see him in a united shirt and all smiley, well i will be upset again.  i will be upset until united loan him out to Galatasaray Spor Kulübü in 2025.

The wages and deal offered to Mason Mount is LESS than generous.

Chelsea offered him a very decent salary.  That is the truth of it.

No way we should have offered him that wage packet he’s not worth that much money. Fans blaming the club when it’s reported he was offered 200k a week and refused it, what should the club do if he’s refusing to sign?

We screwed ourselves by offering James the £250k/w contract (not worth it IMO), it was obvious he was going to want parity. Makes more sense now why Liverpool who he was linked with for most of the window walked away from the deal & signed Mac Allister on £150k/w, they were never going to offer him £200k/w+.
