I don't blame him for wanting out perse, it would be hypocritical of us as a fanbase given we'd be shoving Gallagher out if we get a good offer for him.

But the way he's going about it is all kinds of wrong, what's the odds he fires shots at us as soon as he's in that shirt despite all the support he's got?

It’s a small amount of remote fans who go on about mount, he’s not my favourite but I have mentioned many times I will never abuse any Chelsea player as long as they don’t disrespect the club. Mount is showing a very high level of disrespect. Loyalty I don’t expect in football anymore but respect I certainly do.

Is he? He's not said anything publicly. He's not missed training.

If United aren't able to meet our valuation and he throws his toys out the pram, then I'd agree. But that hasn't happened yet.

I am still amazed that he so desperately wants to go to United. I don’t understand that one.

I suspect he made up his mind a long time ago. Complaining about fan abuse, then quitting twitter, it all seems he was fabricating excuses and laying the groundwork to justify wanting out of the club.

He's not threatening us. He goes on a free next year anyway if we don't sell him before that.

And if he's as useless a player as a lot on here claim,  then I don't know why they aren't happy that he's pushing for the move.

im very happy we're getting rid of him.

I just need to prove to the morons I come across that constantly scream "hes proper chels, he gets it, he knows what it means to play for the badge" that they've been made to look like complete and utter fools

He knows he only has one year left you can easily sign a one year extension and still leave this summer he’s putting the club in situation where it’s sell or lose me for free.
That in my opinion is disrespectful to the club who made you, gave you the tools to develop into the player you are today. Like I said loyalty I don’t expect but don’t put on the club in a position where they are disadvantage in the negotiation because you know you have one year left on your contract.

Hazard extended and made sure we got a good sum for him this guy who came through our academy who so many fans thought was “Mr Chelsea “ turns out to be on a similar path to Tibo in forcing his way out.
I expected a little better from him.

Tuchel called for an investigation into online abuse of Mount.

Twitter is full of hate and poison directed at him.  He hasn't made it up. But he hasn't said he wants out because of abuse.

He wanted more money, the same amount as Sterling etc etc.

So he wants to go because we won't pay it

We've signed loads of players who forced a move from their clubs in order to play for us.  Gotta accept this goes on, he hasn't disrespected the fans, despite all the " if he says this, if he says that " nonsense around here

With his/his camp comments he’s weakening Chelsea’s negotiating position. We haven’t had that from Havertz nor even from Jorginho (he was a gentleman all the way through tbh).

Hi mate.

I wasn't aware of their comments tbh , if that's straight up then of course anything that is detrimental to our club isn't something that any of us would be happy about.  I suppose I'm reluctant to criticize him because he always put a shift in even when he was going through his never ending bad patch   I'll have a look around see what it's about.

Knowing our luck the fecking deal will fall through! Cheers

Yeah a lot of people don’t feel disrespected because he’s leaving per se they feel disrespected by the way he’s going about it compared to other players. Hazard left the club with grace and decorum and nobody batted an eye so it’s frustrating seeing someone who was supposed to be one of our own do this.

Hi Lamps !  I gotta be honest mate , I don't do Twitter etc, do I'm not aware of what's happening.

But what is he doing that's disrespectful to the club ? I'm genuinely unaware , just would like some info.

Cheers bud

Same here mate.

Surely it's not all about money ?   I remember when JT was negotiating a new contract and wanted a pay rise.

Citeh put in a few bids but John got his pay rise which was actually LESS then Citeh were going to pay him..

Mind you the Ashley Cole story about him nearly crashing his car when he heard about the paltry pay rise  Arsenal were giving him is still the best !

It boils down to money. Both Mount and James were offered new contracts in September, with James accepting his seamlessly. On Mount's camp there have been reports a decorative offer was made to him which the club redacted after the world cup. It was an offer that seemingly matched Reece James's earnings but since Stewart has been appointed the club shifted its focus to incentivized contracts. He may have felt disrespected but he's been offered new deals since Roman's tenure. It also doesn't explain why James was able to accept his no problem but Mount lingered for a couple months.  Latest offer was a 1 year extension at 200kpw and was rejected. Seems like Mount has dropped all contract negotiations now.

Most of the reports have come from Mount's side so they need to be taken with a grain of salt, but even then it still sounds like Mount was valued at the club but not to the extent of Reece James. Which if that was the route Mount and his team were taking, it's hardly surprising they didn't get what they want.

He hasn't said anything but he's doing everything in his power to force the club to sell him. He won't say anything because not every footballer is as dumb as Lukaku. Only difference is that Lukaku has said it out loud that he doesn't want to stay with us while Mount is yet to speak out.

Which player hasn't faced online abuse. I bet Werner, Jorginho, Alonso, Havertz, Pulisic etc have gotten an equal if not more amount of abuse online. But did they go crying to the coach ? And why lose sleep over a minority who we won't even know are genuine fans ? You think it will get any better at utd. They have the most vicious fanbase in the whole of England. Will Mount announce his retirement when he gets many times worse abuse from a lager section of their fans. It all seems pretty conveniently timed to make the club look like villains even when the money utd are offering is the same as us.

Havertz didn't extend

If Mount extended purely so we could get a bigger transfer fee out of his future club, I'd think he was a moron.

As long as he sits quietly and works hard, I'd be fine with him leaving on a free next year.

Yeah as much as I'm not bothered about him leaving, from a media point of view he hasn't been disruptive, disrespectful and kicked off like a certain long nosed snake did. He wants to move on, it happens 🤷‍♂️.

I have said that I don’t consider him a snake, not to the Courtois level, but his comments on how he’s either going this season or walking on a free next season is weakening our bargaining position (I’m glad that the board are standing their ground tbh). That’s what is getting to me. I’ve come to terms that he wants to move on, it’s his prerogative and I respect it, but I think that at least he should behave like a gentleman towards the club and fans that have supported him through the good and sh*t times. And he’s not doing that, he should not leak/talk to the media about his feelings. That’s obviously my opinion.

It would be interesting to find out what has gone on behind the scenes for there to be no way back in contract talks. Couple this with the likes of Kovacic and Havertz jumping ship and the body language on the pitch last season of others suggests there have been major problems off the pitch.

If I recall correctly, Hazard extended to help the club get his price. He was not an academy player, he just loved playing for us. Mount hasn’t got to sign an extension, with just telling his camp to shut their gobs, he’d not be weakening our stance at the negotiating table.
Regarding his working hard and leaving next summer, I hope that he’s not wearing a Chelsea blue kit next season. If him and Lukaku were to play for us, I bet the atmosphere would be weird at the Bridge.

Well you're just incorrect, havertz never extended. He joined in 2020 on a 5 year contract.

I also hope he gets to leave. I hope united pay the fee we are looking for.

But if they don't, I hope he stays, works hard and either then gets a contract extension he's happy with or leaves on a free.

Where is this stuff he is saying in the media mate ?  I'm honestly not aware of any comments.

He said Hazard not Havertz...

I mean has Kai ever looked like he "loved" playing for us? Eden did many times....
