Over the years, we've been done by sh*t refereeing enough times...…...all of them males.  Being male does not make you a better referee.  Ovrebo, Clattenburg, Atkinson, and Dean are all men.

A referee won't be worse because she happens to be female.  She'd be worse because of her performance.  Expecting her to be bad before the game because she is female is very short sighted.  As mentioned earlier, if a woman (or, as WalterWhite has called her, "that stupid Russian woman") can run our club, a woman can certainly referee a match.

Stéphanie Frappart has been FIFA-listed for a decade. she has been officiating in men's league football for five years. She has officiated at a World Cup, including the Final. What part of that suggests that she also has not been working her entire career for a golden opportunity? The top woman referee in the country is Rebecca welch she referees in the 5th tear, we are questioning using an all female officiating team that doesn’t have top level experience just for the sake of doing it...so if anything we could call that sexist.

Your assertion of questioning someone as sexist for questioning experience and getting a job based on your sex not experience is literally the thing you’re suggesting we are doing...sexist.

Get off your high horse and think about it...You asked how do you get experience at top level, I would suppose by working your way up not going straight to the top on the basis of as you put it “what’s between your legs”

Its like the argument of black managers, what if there just aren’t as many good black managers at the moment, should we give national league level black managers PL jobs to create opportunities? 

Football is supposed to be merit based now resist the urge to get plaudits for championing women’s rights and realise the hypocrisy of what you’re saying. 

The referee today has been in the second tier if French football and refereed 1 ligue  one game now would a man with that experience get this job? No he wouldn’t so as you put it she got this job not on merit but “because of what’s between her legs”

So my origin question stands is that sexist?  Or is sexism only for men in the vein racism only for white men? 

I don’t agree with any racism nor do I agree with any unfair treatment of women but I also don’t agree with gifting non white people things they haven’t earned just because they are non white and I don’t agree with gifting women things they haven’t earned  just because they are women, that’s reverse racism and sexism.

The Message that today sends is you want to prove women are as capable at a thing as men by having her gifted a job she didn’t earn the same way as a man would have to...does that make sense. 

Anyway I can see this turning into a big off topic debate so I’ll leave it but it’s strong hypocrisy .

Mid 3, we changed it be played kante? Or you mean from last season? 

I think kova and Jorginho bossed the midfield it was working for large parts of the match, with kantes cover we should see a notable difference in defensive transition.

I think Barkley gave some power we need in the Middle ultimate with RLC back and Jorginho rotating with kova that’s a very capable and balanced midfield.

What do you mean that Frank has bucked under pressure? 

That midfield really made my heart sink. Bad memories I reckon

Same. They will likely play different to how Sarri had them play, but still, I didn't ever want to see Kovacic in that position again. He was incredibly ineffective for us in that role last season.

He played similar at Derby, he played similar preseason, but now he's buckled under pressure?  It's an option, and one that can and does work at times. I'm happy to see him trying things in a game like this. 

In fact we played that 3 against Liverpool last season at home when we should have won and caused them a lot of problems. Maybe Frank has seen that

Same midfield 3 that won the final to get us here. All 3 deserved to start, as does giroud imo.

I’m not keen on Giroud upfront what’s the point in playing off him when we have no goals in the midfield? 

But of course we had to play him because of his role in the EL, you can’t not play the guys that got you there I suppose. 

I don’t see where the goals come from today....

Little or no creativity from that mid 3. He could have dropped one of Jorginho/Kovacic & stuck either Barkley/ Mount behind Giroud. 
 

I am also not sure of Pedro playing 2 games in 3days at his age.

He looks a new player this time out whether something dropped with him or the new deeper position suited him today we will see.

He certainly isn’t a goal threat so a striker thats main plus is playing off the attacking mid and wingers seems like a bad combination

On actual football matters I normally agree with you, you talk like someone who has actually played football...

But what is it you like about this line up, I don’t mind the mid it’s worked for us but I mind it with Giroud because it eliminates his main strength, can’t see where the goals are from?
