goes without saying but I'll say it anyway - we need to be absolutely on it at the start of the second half

Kante having an amazing performance so far, I'm one of his biggest critics on here when he's playing in this position. 

Fantastic half! So much potential in this team.

Kante is amazing, to say we missed him at OT is an understatement.

Now please keep it up. Winning here would be huge!

A very good first half from us. Much better shape to the team in attack and defence. Kante, Pedro and Jorginho were the standouts for me, Pulisic grew into the game as it went on.

He's all over the pitch. Worth two players out there. Sarri has, without doubt, improved his abilities and confidence to go forward. For all the negatives that carried with Sarri, he's done a lot of good for our players. 

 

This has been a fantastic first half from us, it’s hugely encouraging and shows that what we seen against United on Sunday wasn’t just a flash in the pan. 

 

Some of the moves we’ve put together are pure class and what you’d associate with the Liverpool side. A little more cutting edge and we could be 2 or 3 up. 

 

We really need to get Tammy in the gym and working on his hold up play, see if he could be like Giroud but with pace, he’d be absolutely deadly, a hybrid striker of the two of them would be unreal. 

 

I don't want to highlight negatives when we're playing so well but I can’t help but feel with RLC in for Kovacic and CHO for Pedro we’d be absolutely out of sight. 

 

Special shout out to the back four who got a lot of stick on Sunday. I think all four have been terrific so far.

Excellent 45 minutes of football - we have played some really nice stuff and to be honest Liverpool look completely non-plussed. 

I'd written us off before that start now my nerves are jangling with the thought that we could actually win the bloody thing.    

Good stuff from us. Well done Frank with the competitive line up.

Stephanie Frappart is better than most of the PL referees on the evidence of that half  ... cheeky little smile for Jorginho as she blew for half time as well ?

Only got the Radio5Live commentary to go on but it sounds as though we are playing some great footbal. Does anyone know if the highlights are going to be available later on tv in the UK ?

I don’t know. It looked like VVD kept CP insides there. 

They had the best of the first 15 minutes but then we absolutely battered them for the rest of that half. Should have 3 or 4 really.

Hope we can have more of the same in the second half. We need to keep pressuring Matip, he has a mistake in him.

Good half from us but Liverpool is dangerous. This is more 50-50 than I anticipated. We are not playing high Block but 4-3-3 counter attacking football. We have retreived the ball well in midfield. If we can do it 2nd half with same effect we will win this. However I completely expect Klopp to shake it up and give us problems.

Looks like kante is our most attacking midfielder....he defiantly has developed his attacking game under sarri, mind you he started his career as a winger

Not sure but guraanteed to be on youtube within about an hour of the match finishing, Possibly earlier.

Kante playing his natural game makes a huge difference. Sarri's use of Kante was like using Picasso to doodle Southpark cartoons. Head and shoulders the best player on the park. Pulisic looks very lively too.
