Looks a solid line up defensively. Just not sure where the goals will come from though. Looking at the line up, you could see us being abit more defensive.

You would think he is maybe trying to stay solid then bring in goal threats nearer the end if we can shut them out.

Giroud on reflection could give us an outlet to beat the press, I’m starting to see the logic, didn’t like that lineup as you say no goals but if the tactic is stay tight and bring on attacking players later then you can see the plan.

On actual football matters I normally agree with you, you talk like someone who has actually played football...

But what is it you like about this line up, I don’t mind the mid it’s worked for us but I mind it with Giroud because it eliminates his main strength, can’t see where the goals are from?

It's more the defence and mid 3 I like, I'm now basically just accepting the striker who plays wont bring us much whoever it is.

The mid 3 will match up with there's, Liverpool don't use it much for creativity other than putting balls into channels, it's basically a wall, bounce the ball of it when in possession, a defencive block when out of possession. We need to get between their lines and I can see all 3 of our midfielders doing that at times.

Looks like Jorginho is playing DLP with Kante on the side, watch pundits self combust.

Yea I can see the defensive merit, maybe he wants to shut them out and have a go in the last 20-25 minutes.

Also with their high press Giroud is a good target and hold up man so it could get us out of bother when u see pressure just boot it up to him.

It was probably short sited of me to look at the creative side and goal threat it looks like he has set up for the task.

Hope kante is fully fit after his injury and frank is not just risking him

Concern for me too as he picked up another knock against Man U, big risk for us moving forward with a key key player but another shagging is a risk for player moral...tough call that

Interesting to see where Kante will be playing. I hope Frank will put him back to the defensive midfielder, can't wait to see him tackling everyone around him.

Zouma and Christensen have to prove themselves, they getting another chance and they should fix what happened last game!

Same old Pedro, but he always comes to the game when it talks about winning trophy. Pulisic has to prove himself as well.

Too much negativity, I just hope our players aren't thinking the same! COME ON CHELS!!

After Sunday Frank had to be more pragmatic. This is the right approach for Liverpool,no matter who is in the squad. Start with experience and bring the younger players later if required.

Got no problem with the starting 11, finals are always heavy on tactics. Frank has obviously chosen these players to keep us in the game as long as possible. Substitutions will be key and hopefully we can nick it. Come on you Blues!
