We have a chance we always have a chance. The recent loss wasn't a real reflection of how the team played at all. We do need to be more clinical more focused though.

Europe’s version of the community shield...meh

Just hope we don’t get hammered again just for squad morale.

It is a glorified friendly though and not even bothered how it goes as long as we play well. 

i’d rather he used the game to tweak formations; either a 4-3-3 or 3-4-3 and change personnel.

I have no concern for the game. It doesn't affect Leicester although it would be great to win and gain morale. Liverpool is a massive favourite for the game. Hope it is a good game.

Nice to see that Billy Gilmour has travelled with the team ... squad of 24 in Istanbul apparently.

Bizarre for me, the last British manager we had was Hoddle and after all the foreign managers appearing so eloquent and composed Frank sounded a little bit rough and ready with his natural London accent.

Answered the questions well enough though hope he is not putting too much pressure on Mason Mount.

First time posting and getting back to games in quite a while.

Wouldn’t put much emphasis on this at all. Give me 3 points against Leicester all day long instead.

I think it could play a massive role on the game this weekend. If we get another heavy defeat, the nerves will be a mess for the Leicester game, win and it's a massive boost in confidence. Too many people are down playing this game for me. People can call this a glorified friendly if they like, but I guarantee it won't be played anything like that and for me it's a massive game, probably our most realistic chance of winning any trophies this season.

I hate the attitude being shown to the Super Cup from some of our fans. When we won it in 1998, it was a big deal and is often talked about by fans and the club. To sh*t on this game is like sh*tting on our history from my point of view.

Agree in sentiment I hate losing to scousers but not if it risks injury just not worth it for a worthless cup 

I think we shall surprise many people in this one. 

This is still a trophy, and slightly better to win that the community shield. Bit annoying having to play 2 days earlier than Liverpool had to though! I highly doubt we will see a 4-0 hammering again, going to go for tight 1-1 draw. Chelsea to win on penalties.

Would like to see close to the same team as Utd. Great opportunity to work on things from the weekend in as close to a normal EPL game against a good side without the consequence of dropping points. Wouldn't risk Kante, maybe pulisic over pedro.
