September 1, 2025Sep 1 I'm not really sure why he would accept a permanent deal and they already have 2 left backs at Strasbourg.

September 1, 2025Sep 1 Chilwell going on a permanent to RSC and to make room for him ISS is going out on loan… the same ISS we sold to RSC earlier in the summer.@TheFA @UEFA @FIFA someone f**king please investigate us. Between this and the KinderBueno deal from Brighton we’re clearly corrupt or dodgy somewhere!
September 1, 2025Sep 1 Hope it goes through and Ben sees some game time, was an excellent player for us and id like to think he has a few years in him still at a decent level.Never downed tools or wrote ultimatum letters like some of the new elite players. Good luck to him if he goes.👍

Feel bad for ISS who was highly rated and one of the best 16yr olds in his age group when we paid £3.5m for him. We sold him to Strasbourg who already had Barco & Moreira in his position, he is now being shafted to the Championship on loan to make room for another Chelsea player.

It is easier to get him to renegotiate at £150k/w-£175k/w for 7yrs if he is the only one on £250k/w, though I wonder how those talks might go. Won’t be surprised if he is put up for sale in the summer or sent to the bomb squad. Players like Caicedo who is on £150k/w is coming into his 3yr and they will be desperate to further end it, especially if he continues his ridiculous form. The £150k/w wage limit might need to be moved upwards a little to renegotiate his contract. Easy to do when you have some wages headroom.
September 1, 2025Sep 1 If true, a rather sad end to his Chelsea career. Wouldn't be surprised if we have paid him a largish settlement sum to enable the move.Best of luck Chilly. Wishing you an injury-free time in France and a return to former glories.I doubt the Strasbourg fans are much enamoured of this latest manoeuvre from BlueCo, so hopefully Chilly will win them over on the pitch,

September 1, 2025Sep 1 Fantastic signing, Fantastic servant to the club.Nearly made me forget about Ashley Cole with some of those performances. The partnership with RJ made us one of the most entertaining sides I’d seen in a long time.Champions League Winner. Thank You!
September 1, 2025Sep 1 That period with him and James as wing backs was brilliant but brief and could have set us up for a decade, but it wasn't to be because of injuries. Hopefully he can settle now and get his career back on track.

Contract transfer then. When I first picked up on press reports that the move to Strasbourg was indeed on the cards the suggestion was that initially it had been considered that the remaining two years would be bought out but the latest thinking was it would involve a fee.My guess , and it’s only that if there is indeed a fee it would be £8 million ish. That’s the roughly the sum of his original transfer fee that remains on the books.I would hope that his contract one way or the other is paid in full . Anything is possible but the two year contract at Strasbourg could match the one he currently is on but of course all this is speculation.Irrespective best wishes Ben hope you enjoy France and of course the football
September 1, 2025Sep 1 Shame how it ended, if it wasn’t for injuries I think he’d have gone down as a legend with us.
September 1, 2025Sep 1 Strasbourg's current top earner is on about 30K Euros a week, so it is going to be fascinating to see what details come out about this transfer ...
September 1, 2025Sep 1 Best wishes Chilly! Hope he can stay fit and remind everyone what he is capable of.
September 1, 2025Sep 1 It's a shame how it went with Chilwell. I thought he got bomb-squaded because he's more of a tradional overlapping fullback and Maresca did not like those. The strange thing is, when we start with Gusto + Cucu now, Gusto tend to have the freedom to get forwards down the right with Cucu inverting. It seems like Chilwell could have given us a similar, alternative option down the left, with James inverting from the right.I don't know.... out of all the bomb-squad players, Chilwell was one I thought was particularly harsh.

September 1, 2025Sep 1 Just checking to see if this one definitely went through, you never know with us 😐
September 1, 2025Sep 1 Given that he's taken a big pay cut to move to a foreign league, I think any baseless speculation about Chilwell's supposed lack of "ambition" should be done and dusted.
