Don't think that's the worst deal in the world for Arsenal. He'll strengthen them.

United signing Varane as well will really, really strengthen them.

I wonder what we are going to do.

Steve Sidwell is available for free again?

He has potential. But Dunk is a superior player, more dominant and better leader / organiser.

Silly money in the current financial climate, and Arsenal have much bigger holes in their squad to fill.

Yes interesting the smaller moves are starting to happen before the bigger clubs like us and City get the cheque books out.

City being linked with Kane and Grealish and no word on Sterling who was formerly linked with Arsenal.

Richarlison is being linked with RM and Everton showing interest in Newcastle's Saint-Maxim in case Richarlison does leave.

No credible news on us so suggest the offer, rejection period is still ongoing with Haaland.

Madrid are only allowed to have 3 non-EU players on their books so they expect attention to turn to Gareth Bale.

We might see the former RM striker being sold on the cheap though who would want to buy him in his current form is a good question.

Perhaps sell to Swansea for a very small nominal fee with sell-on clause just in case he makes a mercurial recovery.

Utd are chasing Varane and Trippier if rumours are to be believed, we know Utd's defence has been their relative weakness so maybe some truth in this.

Premier League footballer held over child sex allegations

A Premier League footballer has been arrested on suspicion of child sex offences.

The 31-year-old man, who has not been named for legal reasons, was detained on Friday by Greater Manchester Police.

In a statement, the player's club confirmed he had been suspended and added it would "continue supporting the authorities with inquiries and would not be commenting further".

The footballer has since been bailed pending further inquiries.

Apparently its an Everton player.

Innocent until proven Gylfi...

Although it's about the fourth time i heard that today its still bloody funny.....and very true, as we found out ourselves recently when CHO was accused of rape..

Honestly what has Arteta got on that fanbase? If it was Henry or Vieira doing this you could understand them clinging on but Arteta was an okay player in the peak Wenger banter years, it's so odd.

I think he is building the dream that the likes of Saka, Smith-Rowe and other younger players will be their route back to successful times.

Arteta is building the Core players around English players, Saka, Smith-Rowe, Ben White, and possibly Tammy. They haven't got much options, with with money it's hard to see elite players join them right now.

Interesting as looking at one claim they are looking to offload Lacazette to fund the Tammy transfer.................

I find it interesting that Man United is blatantly investing much more for OGS in comparison to their transfers when Jose was there. It's almost like they know he can't really do well without the constant spending. I don't have any stats but it looks like Man United have been spending the most in the past few years out of all PL clubs. I wonder how long he will last if they don't win anything in the short term...

And this is the utter nonsense that their fanbase has been swilling for years. First it was Wenger, now Arteta.

Arsenal's business model is to develop players and sell them to line the pockets of their owners. During their most profitable times, very little if any of their profit was reinvested in making the club more competitive on/off the pitch. The majority of their profit is siphoned to the owners.

They have spent the last 15 years conditioning their fanbase to not just accept a lack of competitiveness, but to embrace it as some noble ideal. The refusal to invest keeps expectations low and the cycle repeats, year after year after year.

The whole fanbase haven been taken for absolute mugs.

I don't think winning a trophy increase your revenue significantly especially not if you are at United size.

Varane to United is a very2 interesting singing. Hopefully United stopped playing pogba as lw and play him as cm in 4231 mode.

Can two very2 good cb prevent you from conceding even if they are not protected enough. That is an interesting question

Imagine not winning anything after so much investment...

Seems Gini Wijnaldum reads RAWK

Wonder if any of our players subscribe to their threads here?

I don't follow gini story with pool but I am not surprised that lots of pool fans doesn't really rate gini. We did the same thing with Mount and Mount is a academy grad

I think their fan base is starting to react, they will give Arteta a bit of time, they were one of the clubs upset by the super league and wanted at the time for Stan to move on.
