You would think that Klinnsman would be a good shout for the Spurs job. He seemed a decent manager and is available. Maybe klinsmann doesn’t want club management.

Can we agree to pay Tottenham's compensation fee for Scott Parker in exchange for a discount on Areola as backup for Mendy?

Good shout but PSG own him not Fulham right?

Exact, and we really aren't in their good books right now. So even with Donnaruma coming in, they'd rather sell to anyone but us.

Nah, PSG are businesspeople. They're not owned by someone like De Laurentiis

Apart from the inalienable fact that Spurs are a poxy club, I reckon the issue is that most managers expect either a) Kane to stay and a modest transfer budget or b) Kane sold and a 100M+ transfer budget.

Levy naturally will take the idiot's middle ground and wants to sell Kane for a mega-fee but only invest a small portion into transfers. That said, given their revenue base is dying and their stadium remains an albatross around the neck, he may have no choice. No manager in their right mind will accept a project where the ultimate goal is to pay off a stadium.

Looks like United will be getting Sancho for £80m-ish. It’s probably not where they need to strengthen but he’ll probably be a good forward. United seem to have a knack of signing good forward players - unlike us.

What would actually happen if Spurs can't find a manager? Offer the job permanently to Ryan Mason then fire him after the inevitable poor run of results in 6 months time?

At a guess keep him until the Kane issue is settled then bring in another manager around the Christmas window.

For me they are in the type of situation that could destroy a club, Levy with his tight grip on finances and insisting players can only move on at top price has a knock on effect in deterring good talent. That will mean they are less attractive and fans will be less likley to renew tickets.
